TOPS tops itself again - behold the picatinny rail mounted knife!

You people and your AR's. What about us folks with the Winchester 94's? And the Sharps? And what about my .58 Hawkin? Why do we have to be left out of all the fun? I mean, come on, maybe we want a big ol' knife we can stick on the fore . . .

Oh. Wait a minute.

That's what my belt is for.

Nevermind.

Uh, what were we talking about again?

I could see the reasoning behind this. Run out of ammo in a tight space, someone pops up, your other hand is already on the barrel. The knife is closer than your pistol or anything else on your body. You mock it, but it's something only military personnel might consider. Then again, it most likely would not be their cup of tea. But at least try to imagine the real applications.

Great marketing!

(made you click the link, didn´t it... and maybe check out some other knives... and... hmmmm...)

/C.

LOL. When i read your post i was thinking 'bayonet' but this is so much better (worse?).

I don't think there is a single real soldier out there that would consider a knife like this. The weight would mess up your aim and it just clutters up your gun. Then again, real soldiers tend to laugh at the idea of any sort of 'combat knife' and would rather just carry an extra mag.

I'd bet that the mofos with AK's and such tie their gear together with black duct tape. Anything hi-tech is considered fancy boy stuff.

"... WHETHER YOU ARE MILITARY, LAW ENFORCEMENT OR AN OUTDOORSMAN-THIS NEW SYSTEM MOUNTS ANYWHERE A RAIL DOES: RIFLE, VEST, BELT, BIKE, ATV....(PAT.PEND.)"

Every vest and belt I own have rails attached, so this is a real option for a hardcore operator like me.
Well, I found my project for the day. Cover my bike in rails since apparently it's a popular thing to do and nobody told me.

I was totally expecting this picture when I clicked.

They should make one mounted directly on the slide so you can automatically stab them as the gun cycles.

I can imagine the number of these shipping to APOs already, Soldiers will buy anything.

Tops...

It took me years to notice that they actually have some really nice small fixed blades that are reasonably priced and come with kydex. You barely notice them when the rest of the knives on the page have a Rambo fetish.

"Real soldiers"(as opposed to the imaginary sort) buy anything, and buy into anything, unless they are informed. Just like everyone else. This knife is basically pointless, but falls in line with the mentality of ex-military types etc that stock up on multiple guns with all kinds of attachments just to be ready for....something. definitely a market for this little bugger, even if none of us would buy it. My $.02 anyway.

Yet another cutlery product that falls into the general category of doucheknife. I wonder if it also comes with the optional Picatinny refrigerator magnet mounting system for the little lady?

I think that depends partially on MOS. I think in combat MOS' the armorer would take one look at that thing and you'd be busy doing push-ups till you arms fell off. On the other hand I can totally picture some soft skill MOS thinking this thing is the bee's knees, I swear to you I have seen POG's with their M68s mounted under the barrel.
