What makes a tough folder? What have you done to prove it? What was it? There are so many great folders so Sound off!

The only tough folder I have is the Mission MFK2. I've battoned and chopped with it, using considerable force on it. The blade is thick and it kept the edge well.

I've been hitting it continuously, trying to see its limits. In the end of some days of abuse it had vertical blade play, so I decided to stop abusing it and I fixed it. It's like new now. It's 100% titanium so it's really light for it's big size. I don't EDC it because the blade exceeds the legal length here in Portugal...

vic classic. I can baton with it, and throw it, and it's a first rate knife for a high speed operator such as myself.

After slicing this Cinnamon Crunch bagel for toasting, there was absolutely no edge damage to my Schatt & Morgan Harness Jack!

My toughest folder to date would have to be my Cold Steel Pro-Lite,semi tanto point plain edge. This knife has gone all over with me,including South Africa on safari. I've pried, stabbed, pulled and cut with this thing since I've owned it and it's never let me down. I've cut tires, barrels, screens, seat belts, etc. Skinned and cleaned game. As well as work projects around home. My PH in Africa said"that's a serious knife!".

My toughest folder is my ZT 0301. Why?...Because it is built like a tank, and with good materials.

Hand's down my Burke VDT. check out Jim's video on youtube pretty much say's it all....

thank's
crazy roger

Victorinox alox soldier and alox farmer.

Indeed! I showed my, Mission folder because it locks and it's tough but for 1/10 of its price you can get an alox SAK... I have an alox Soldier and offered an alox Farmer to my sister, great pocket knives!

I'm guessing my Smurf Manix or large Rukus would be the toughest.

Ankerson, do you see a side-by-side test of this sort in your future? Imagine the heat a ZT/ Strider/ Cold Steel destruction derby would generate.

My Spyderco Salt is pretty tough...it can survive environments that few other knives could.
