Toughest Folder You own and why

Although already mentioned, my ZT's, 0200 & 0500 are tough as nails. I would also place my Ontario Hossom Retribution 1 in the catergory also.:D

I'll throw in a vote for the CS Rajah III. It has the thickest blade of any folder I own, has a Triad lock, and fully steel-lined handle. I've chopped with it a little bit and (for a lightweight little folder) it did well, and took no damage whatsoever.

I don't think anyone would argue that any tri-ad lock knife is gonna be very tough....

the new ZT 550(and 551) looks like it'll be one tough folder as well though!

I'd say the toughest I own right now would be the CS Spartan.

I have plans to mod mine; it has issues - like that silly square blade hump that I reprofiled, and the stupid pocket-shredder-wave-shelf-thing-that will-fly-off-at-the-first-attempt-at-batonning - but in general, it's a rock solid lock that I'm confident will not fail, no matter what I do to it.

I've got a couple of Mission MPF 3 TI PE that are the toughest knives I've ran across yet, I've had some stuff come close but the all Ti construction just can't hardly be beat there just solid users that can take a beating like nothing else and don't need any cleaning, washing, oiling, etc. Lube the pivot and sharpen, PERIOD.

Thanks Toni for the pix.

I thought everyone knew that there is two kinds of AUS8/440C. The kind people don't own that is crappy and won't hold an edge and real AUS8/440C. ;)

I'm thinking my Lionsteel SR-1 is probably the toughest folder I own, based simply on construction.

Hmmm probably XM-18 because I was bored.

one of my harsey t3s, i would think would be up there, the liner is thicker than benchmade griptilian blade...

i also would have to consider my black rhino or my american lawman (also have an ultimate hunter, talk about a knife that was so close yet so far away)....

Those 3, and I would add the XM-24.

I've owned a number of hard-use folders including the ZT0200, 0300, 0350 as well as a Benchmade Rukus, and a CRK Sebenza. But the only one I kept is the CRK Umnumzaan. It's not as thick and beefy as some of the others, but it has done everything that I've asked of and still looks brand new (except for some pocket rash on the scales). I think it is one of the best mixes of overall toughness and slicing ability of any knife out there.

I will admit that some of the others were cooler looking though, that ZT0300 was hard to let go!

Have to admit the Umnumzaan tanto is very easy to carry and very strong. Simple.

I also had a ZT0300 and it seemed very tough.

The toughest folder I own is a ZT0301.

However...The toughest folder I carry is my Hogue EX-01 tanto because it is half the weight of the ZT.

Suprised no mention of Striders in here, The one I had inspires more confidence in hand then most other knives I have held.

The toughest one I own now is probably my Mini-Rukus.
Opens smoothly, nice ergos, but built like a tank.

Hopefully that will change once I get my HEST folder!

Toughest one I own is this one.
