Tracker Knife

Does anyone know if Mr. Beck is still making the WSK? I received a mail from him in May of this year, but haven't heard from him since. Does anyone know?

As I understand it, Dave Beck's website is down. He is back-logged on orders and his health hasn't been strong enough for him to take on new work. Stay tuned for further, more encouraging developments.
 
I like my Becks Tracker. It is a heavy blade. To tell you the truth the top knife on my website is a better cutter. His knife is designed with a steep bevel wich is good for chopping but I like my survival blades to have a thinner blade near the handle and then have a thicker blade where you would chop with it. Best of both worlds. I will hang on to my becks though.......even though I will carry ones I make from time to time. I would like to handle a tops version to really get the feel of both makers.
 
Iv had a T.O.P.S tracker for my last 2 expo's and it did everything i asked, I would like to have a go of one of the custom blades tho !
 
From what I have heard Dave Becks waiting list is over a year now. I dont have his phone number but you may be able to find it threw the forums.....??

Shame he doesnt want the added workload of a full time maker. Thats what I have heard anyway. Seems to be the reason for his site being down.
