Trackrock Hammer-in Announcement

So looking forward to this. I was in Walmart tonight getting an adapter so I can hook up my life support during the night. (CPAP and electric blanket and/or little space heater)

I missed the last one, so things may have evolved, but I'll volunteer to cook/prepare dinner (Gumbo) on Friday or Saturday (recommended) night if Andy will let me use the cabin kitchen. (Other peeps may be assigned things like salad, or garlic bread, or beer if they want to help out-- kind of like a pot luck of sorts.
 
A lot of folks will be coming in and setting up early Friday am, but there should be two or three already up and running mashing steel by 8 or so.

If Andy's kit is booked you can always use mine and RLo's. Only cost you a couple o' bowls o' gumbo.

I'll bring the Dutch oven and make a cobbler for dessert. Is there a freezer to store ice cream?

So Phillip just offered up Cabin 4 for Saturday night dinner. I'll do some thinking this afternoon and launch a new thread about the Fiddleback Friends Dinner sometime this weekend. Short idea that I pitched to Phillip is:

What I propose is to make a chicken and sausage Gumbo
We'll cobble together a salad or two (I'll assign someone to do that)
We'll figure out some French bread (Sounds like something Tony could handle)
NOLA has offered to do dutch oven, and asked if there was room in the
Freezer -- Can you guys allow that?
I also plan to bring a pie-iron or two, since I've never used one, and it
seems in keeping with the hot metal theme.

So, if anyone has any ideas, desires, or needs then send me a PM and I'll try to make the Official Announcement thread have sufficient detail.
 
I'm game for this and will come up with a thing or three to add to the mix.

I was able to reserve site 47. I had seen in a previous post that maybe Tony had this one.. I guess that wasn't the number?

I have 2 sites and Tony has another. All 3 are together, so keep yours if we need it and we can drop it in a week or two if we don't.

Actually they notified me they changed my site. Moved me to 52, which I was giving to Brian if I camp across from Justen. So let me know Justen - I'm sharing with Swo.

Hey Darth I have to take exception to that implication....this is not a political event nor a giv'ment oriented/subsidized boondoggle....it has NEVER been NOT great. It just keeps getting bigger and better!

My apologies. I didn't intend for it to be politically charged, or to insinuate it was not great before. My comment has been edited.
