Bad Trade Deal with Silent Arrow

I have now finally heard back from Silent Arrow via text message. I would like to just let this slide, and would love to just delete this thread, but I can't. I will not insult on in anyway defame him, I will simply report facts.

He said he had been very busy, and had simply forgotten all about it. That he heard I was talking shit about something that was all my fault, that I had lied in my post, that I was a crybaby, that I am a worthless piece of shit democrat, that I can go fuck myself, that the knife I trade him was a piece of shit and he was doing me a favor.

On a positive note, he said I would get my sword back...when he felt like it. And "not a goddamn thing you can do about it since you ran your fucking mouth". Followed by another Fuck You.

I apologized again for the shipping issue, and said I wanted this resolved, and one message or response at any point could have prevented all of this, but if we could get this resolved and put all this behind us, I would gladly explain it was a simple error and take all of this down and tell everyone he was a good guy, that I just wanted to work toward a resolution.

He then called me a turd, and said he would speak to his attorney about starting proceedings for filing a defamation lawsuit.

Not really worried about the suit, but I figure my sword is a loss.

In case anyone is concerned or would like to say that I am making this up, or it seems outlandish, I'd like to make sure there is no question about my integrity in this. I'm sure along the way I've made mistakes in this process, but I want to be clear that I've never intentionally mislead anyone.

I've honestly never dealt with anything like this here or at all, so I don't really know what to do to be honest.

Wow! This would be really funny if it wasn’t the sad reality of your predicament. So sorry to hear these types of situations. But sadly there are people in the world that live with very warped views of right and wrong. I really hope you do receive your merchandise back in a timely manner. I probably won’t hold my breath though. :(

If you do not receive your item within an acceptable amount of time, I hope you would return with a little more detail. Maybe at least a real name and general location so others might possibly avoid a similar situation with the same under a new username or such.

Well that escalated into a latrine fire pretty quickly... Can only be thankful that the few folks I've dealt with on here haven't been anything but laid back with smooth transactions to show for it.

You did nothing wrong by asking members for advice to solve a member issue. The other guy thought that he may be justified keeping your property because of the zip code issue.
He seems like an angry out of control person, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a police record.
Hopefully he will complete the deal, calm down, and continue to enjoy the knife hobby by being a Bladeforums member in good standing.
 
I hope this gets resolved. The Busse crowd is normally a good bunch of people (except Little Wang !! ) and this is really appalling !! I get there was a shipping issue but it appears that gatorforge has done all in his power to resolve it and offered to compensate the other party for the extra shipping. People are human and mistakes happen. Given the elapsed time and apparent response from the other party now, well it seems that is is far far from a mistake.

When we here choose to deal with each other then a level of trust must be given, thankfully the vast vast majority of transactions here go without issue at all. Generally communication can solve those hiccups that occur !! I have had a total of one case of delayed shipping after I paid and that person kept me informed at every step and left me with no concerns.
 
Thief and scammer with a positive feedback score of 25? I’ve spent over $20k on this forum buying Busse knives. Your buddy gator with the feedback score of 6, has lied, exaggerated and omitted some very important details. Several of you, starting with him, have now defamed my character on a public forum and are going further by actively calling for others to not do business with me. Pretty sure I have a valid lawsuit on my hands. I stand to lose a lot of money if no one is willing to buy a knife from me. I have never stolen anything in my life, never ripped anyone off and never done anyone dirty. I told the clown because he came on here and said what he said I was no longer going to trade him my INFI for his SR-101 at a loss, and would be sending him his SR-101 back. He said he would pay for shipping to fix everything and never did. Expected me to pay upfront and hope he paid me back. So he was getting a knife worth hundred$ more and shipping paid for twice. But I digress. I’ve taken screenshots of this thread and will be forwarding to my attorney. Not much more I can do.

I think all you would have to do is communicate with the guy in a civil manner, and you could wrap this whole thing up. I see no problem, and I doubt the OP does of unwinding the deal(that was always an option if you were not satisfied). I can't speak for the OP as to paying upfront for the return shipping. I would ask him, and if he were reluctant do to trust, I would just send it back anyway and clear this off the books-shipping is not worth my reputation. I think you will get paid.

S SilentArrow You agreed to the trade - having spent as much as you claim, I'd have figured you knew the trade was off-balanced...but, you're the one that offered the trade, so you must have thought it was a good idea at the time. My feeling with regard to trades is that "Value" doesn't really matter if you're getting what you want (again, you made the offer).
While I think you should honor your trade agreement, if you're having trader remorse just send the guy back his Waki and wash your hands of the deal.

So your reputation was worth the cost of returning shipping? No issue with spending thousands on knives though. Looks like you built up a good rep and then managed to piss it away by failing to communicate your desire to have the return shipping fees paid up front, not responding to his inquires and then going all honey badger when you got called out. The defamation lawsuit threat is really weak. No one cares about the posturing. Just do the right thing and return his blade. You can still salvage what’s left of your rep here but you you’re going to have to stop digging.

I'm not posting it because it contained some personal details aren't for me to broadcast.

In my response, I stated that if G gatorforge is reluctant to pay the shipping in advance (and I wouldn't blame him for that, considering), I would cover it; and gatorforge can reimburse me when he gets his Waki.

Hopefully, that will help bring this debacle to conclusion
 
I’ve never said to anyone including him that I’m not returning his blade. Quite the opposite in fact. I knew his $400 SR-101 sword was worth less than my NMFSH from the start. I was taking the loss for two reasons. One, never had a rucki before, and two, he’s new to the Busse scene and never owned INFI before. So I was being a nice guy and getting a rucki I wanted at the same time. I’m only now returning his back to him because the whole thing is 100% his fault, he had me panicking running back and forth to the post office every day for almost two weeks to ask and check for the returned package because he’s telling me it’s in limbo and lost when it was actually sitting at HIS post office the whole time before they finally sent it back to me the slowest way possible. Then the pandemic nonsense fraud on the American people happened, I started working 7 days a week, going through a divorce, raising three school aged kids part time with all the schools and day cares shut down, and his shipping debacle was the LAST thing on my mind. So now that he’s gotten the peanut gallery involved, everyone is saying pretty damming things about me that aren’t true, of course he’s not getting my INFI. I’m sending him back his rucki. I would never keep it or steal it. That’s ludicrous. All you people who said that about me owe me an apology at minimum.
