Traditional and Modern pairings

What's that long, slender black handled one? Looks interesting... More info pls?

It is an early John Lloyd, kind of a melon sampler with more aggressive swedges, and I think one of two ebony handles I own. It's quite nice for when a longer, a bit stronger blade is wanted. Fits beautifully in my scrubs and because if how slender it is goes fairly unnoticed. Sorry for the delay in responding.

The modern is in the bag....Trad in my pocket....

These two are paired for scale symmetry ...... both reside in first aid kits....one in the car, one in the bag.

Sarah, tell me if I sound like a broken record but...Nice picture:thumbup:

My brother is quite the shutter bug so I have an appreciation for composition but possess none of the skills required:p

You do!!! Very nice picture---it made me do a double take...

Agreed! That's partly what inspired the combination-- the "Wait... what?" visual factor.

I like how you put that. That perfectly describes my reaction when I first saw that duo. Great shot ~ P.

These are the culprits which started it all.
The Benchmade got me to this forum (or the other way round? Can't remember :)). It's actually the second model, the first one is resting in the Swiss Alps where I lost it :(.
And the GEC #62 brought me here...

Here's an odd pairing. A 'big ol' fancy Delica' from Spyderco and a Bullet End Jack... :D

Queen DB Barlow and my ever trusty AG Russel one hand Paramedic, this thing has taken everything I have thrown at it for about 20 years now, and still shines in my eyes...
