Traditional and Modern pairings

Okay, that is brutally cool. Dan Graves on the bottom? Whoa.

Thank you and yep, that one came from Dan.

Edit: Another one from Dan but with African Blackwood. I don't have a modern folder with this wood though...

And a Lignum Vitae group shot

Maybe if GEC would stop making knives I can't resist, for at least a few months, I could save up and get the Graves order I've been pondering. Great examples!
And as for the LV, I am very surprised to not see it used more often. It is so very cool.

Thanks again Steve. Dan does good work.

As for Lignum, I believe it's trade restricted now. I believe CRK discontinued using LV last year.

I find that a traditional pocket knife coupled with a top quality modern fixed blade is a perfect combo for handling almost all regular tasks. Here is one of my favourite combo's, a big Case 75 Stockman and a Busse Boney Active Duty...........(Yes it is my Avatar pic:))

That Matsuno City knife is very impressive, and, not 'overly' modern, more regional/ethnic.

Regards, Will

An interesting contrast exploring the wharncliffe blade...

Posting this here instead of a separate thread due to the OHOs in the pics. I usually pick out of this group for knife carry. These are usually out and about, ready for use. I just put them together in the top part of this chess box for the pic.

When I'm looking to change things up a bit, I go to this group that stay in the chess box. Also easy access but not as frequented as the group above.

When wanting something different still, I go to this display case. Anything not in these 3 pics means I need to go and actually look for the knife.
