Traditional and Modern pairings

Since the wife and I are on the road, leaving our kids make their own food..... Oh the horror. [emoji12]. Anyway I brought a nice selection of mod/trad because, well, murica.

So here's my couple set aside for each day.

Absolutely love this combo. Assuming any fixed is still considered "traditional ".

I've been pretty vocal about my enjoyment of the Domino, but thought I should add a whitler capable. Although when I bought the Buck, I really just thought I found a bargain on a USA made model. But upon receiving, I quickly discovered that it was a cheap Chinese model, springs don't line up when closed. I also thought the steel was at least 420HC, but no such luck, it's J2.

Another day was the Matriarch 2 & an RR Barlow.

And last, but not least, my little Izula, and a Kirby Lambert HTM.

I'm loving the starbenzas more and more lately.
And nice S&M barlow. I especially like the match strike long pull. I wish more modern slip joint companies used them.

Thanks, I really like that 454(?). Don't you know you're not supposed to actually carry LE ZTs and TCs! :D
I was dissapointed when I found out the production versions didn't come with the sub frame lock.

Strider SNG & Case small coke bottle jack 1979. The Case Coke Bottle would rival the Strider in strength. Thing has a pull of about an 8.5 and a snap that could take off a finger!

Haha apparently I didn't get the message! Nah I carry all my stuff, I like looking at them but they need to be used as well.

Completely agree about the regular production versions. The subframe lock is one of the things that makes this knife special as it saves a considerable amount of weight. It was a part of why I sought out a 454 instead of settling on a 452.
