Traditional Dress carry

When I wore a Class A or Dress Blue uniform I carried a very flat penknife, this Case 6208 being a good example. Nowadays I have what I call my “ceremonial knife” for Thanksgiving, Christmas, weddings, funerals, reunions, etc. - this Case 5318 from Primble’s Kentucky Derby GAW won here several years ago. OH

I think a knife with smooth black handles and silver bolsters/shield is VERY classy and distinguished, so your Moki looks good to me , Joshua!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Here's a dressy example for me:

But I gotta say that for Handel's Messiah, with "Worthy is the Lamb", I'd have to go with my ebony lambsfoot! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

When I was a kid, my parents gave me (maybe for 8th grade graduation?) a little pocket knife with fake pearl handles that I only used for church. Sadly, I somehow lost track of it when I moved away for college. :( Many posters seem to favor a smaller knife for "dressing up", but I'm seriously considering using this black lip pearl massive gunboat canoe as a Sunday-go-to-meeting knife. Bigger and gaudier than any knife I've ever considered for that role before, but "if you got it, flaunt it!" :p

I have a lot of nice dressy penknives, but these days I usually got with my Ashley's Choice Lambsfoot :)

If I ever get a cumberbund though, I'm definitely going to use it as an excuse to carry my Punale! :D

When I think "dressy," it's usually pearl I go with. Here's a couple:

3⅞" Bulldog Trapper (as large as I will go for dress slacks)

3⅜" Bulldog Sowbelly

Another choice might be this early Schrade Walden "The Zephyr" gentlemen's knife.

I frequently wear a jacket and tie to work, and slacks that have those "slant cut" pockets that seem to make larger knives just slip out when sitting down in chairs. Many slacks I wear now have a separate coin "divider" sewn into the right front pocket, and this lil' fellow just fits in that coin "pocket" perfectly. 14 is small and light enough to not weigh the fabric down or "print" in wool suits.

Or, I'll slip this guy into my inside jacket pocket if I'm really feeling classy.
