Traditional Dress carry

I remembered this little Case Swayback Gent. I think it qualifies.

A good question. Last Sunday, I went to a Milonga (Argentine tango dance). Wore tuxedo with top hat. Stainless steel Kershaw 3655 with the clip removed on my person. Leatherman/Sipik sk68 light/Spyderco Endura in dance shoe bag. If you ever want to carry a fixed blade and wear a suit, it would be a Fallkniven F1 in the ugly factory sheath. It will slip into a front pants pocket of a suit and not print.

The most dressed up I will ever be is some sort of casual slacks and a checked shirt, maybe with a sweater in the winter. This happens just once a week and unless the pants have deep jeans-style pockets, I won’t carry anything I would fear losing. Just last week a knife tried to make its escape when I got out of my car to pump gas. Luckily it fell onto the floor-mat where I noticed and quickly apprehended it as I got back in the car. I suppose I might have heard it had it fallen out on the concrete, but still it was a close call.

The rest of the week I wear jeans and carry whatever I like.

When I’m on my feet it’s with a walker. Falling is a very bad thing. Otherwise I’m sitting or lying down. I don’t dress up. I usually carry a GEC 66 and either a Eureka Jack or Possum Skinner in leather slips. Even then one sometimes escapes.
