oh neat! is that an skx mod?? Actually just got in a new seiko the other day

Here is my SKX mod from Yobokies - started out as a Seiko SKX173 with day date.

We have a small Seiko fan club here sir! I have one today as well. Solar tuna holding up the timekeeping end of the work gear today.

I had to ditch the pocket watch and the IXL for the rest of the work week. The Tuna and the Rough Ryder are much more.... Abusable

Yes! but with an uncle seiko jubilee. i hedged actually, i was gonna wear my new seiko that came in last week, but switched last moment since i had planned on drinking

It's an SKXA53, they only made it for a few years, pretty much the same as an SKX007 with different chapter ring and dial. I have been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to reply!

Watch is a Seiko SRPD that I got for a steep discount. It had an awful brownish dial and cream chapter ring, so I changed everything. Fun project.

Dug out a nice pocket watch for the weekend. This is mid 1880s Hampden #60. It has gold jewel settings, gold balance weights and the gilt teske regulator and screws. The movement is pretty scratched up but the double sunk dial and morning glory hands are excellent, so I rebuilt it as a user and put it in a nice 3oz coin case.




Along with the watch is an awesome G.L. Drew and a Robeson Peanut. Opinel on day #16 keep the 30 day trial run going. Haven't managed to kill it yet, in fact it's not even really damaged despite my work abuse.
