Traditional French Fry day

I see your point, but I also believe, that is just political. And in politics, it's all about money and taxes. I'm not saying that it is good, but the point I was trying to make was that the more educated (in wine) consumer in the US, would never confuse a domestic sparkling (labeled Champagne) with a true Champagne. I don't think Champagne producer's have anything to worry about, but politically it is frustrating.
Why "Bourbon" can't be produced in Canada?
Do you think producers would really not matter if unaware Europeans could buy Spanish or Norwegian made Bourbon and say, oh, let go, they just don't know, the happy few will make the difference ? Hmmm....

Recent retaliatory measure in Russia forbids to mention "champagne" in cyrillic on the French bottles. A good evaluation of the importance of the subject...

I'm spending two weeks in Charlotte helping with family matters and am getting along very nicely with these.

I usually carry the carbon No 10, but I brought the No 9 to see if the smaller blade would be easier in the pocket. It is, but I prefer the carbon to this inox.

I have to add that I also Dremel-ed out the restraining bump inside the locking ring. I can easily pop the ring off, drive out the pin, remove the blade, and otherwise smooth the works in case of debris and so forth. Eventually I will replace it with a carbon No 9 and hand this one off to someone lucky and deserving.

It's finally here! I'm going to try to set up something to get better pictures at some point, but here's a couple of quick snapshots.

This is my first French knife other than Opinels, and I like it pretty well! The blade matches up with the spring pretty much perfectly, and the file work looks good to me.

Beautiful, I loved my FP so much I ordered another 4 knives from them. Hoping to have them here for hunting season.

It was a hard choice between this and a Laguiole from them, so I have a feeling I'll be getting one of those too! I'm going to look around for a inside the pocket sheath or something so I can carry it without my keys tearing it up.

It was torture to finish work yesterday because my wife texted a picture of the box around 1:00, and I didn't get off until 7:00!
