Stefan, wo findest du so viele wunderschöne exotische Messer?

Ich kenne nur ein Geschäft in fer Welt mit so vielen unglaublichen Messer (München).

Managed to take a decent photo this morning.

Some mild pitting, but that is of no consequence. What is important is the full blade, which looks to have never touched a stone.

Will Power Will Power described these old Davids as rustic in build and I agree wholeheartedly. They were made before the laguiole's renaissance, a humble knife for unassuming people. This is a working tool through and through.

I like it. I'll be on the hunt for more of these old knives and will one day add a nightingale and a seahorse to the bunch.
If looking for a seahorse, be sure to get an Arthaud (the original family), not Arto (the transferee who killed the shop). Not an easy task.

Thanks The Zieg and Will Power, and that's a mighty hefty blade on the fine old Le Sabot as well.

Chui, I love the style and handle on your Londie, and interesting paperwork to accompany it.

Here is an early post WWII Yatagan model with a Pradel blade stamp. Some very nice multi-colored horn on this old fellow.
I think a gendarme would have been proud to carry this knife. :)
