Nice G.David!!It's Friday!!!!!!
That's a Violin or Fishtail, right? How does that blade shape feel? It's very long and thin.
It's a queue de poisson ( fishtail), a knife associated with kitchen gardens in Brittany. You would have to choke up on it to whittle with the point, but it's a good and compact slicer. That's a Violin or Fishtail, right? How does that blade shape feel? It's very long and thin.
Nice Opinel!! When were those offered? If offered again, I would go for one in a heartbeat!!My coolest Opinel; I forget what they call it, but it's a factory carved limited edition with a boxwood handle. I generally have it with me at work to cut up apples and oranges, etc. Works great and looks good, too!View attachment 1651861View attachment 1651862
I'd love to see what you are selling.I ordered my first Laguiole (en Aubrac) last night to fill a gap that I created by selling big part of my knives. I will post later on.![]()
They are already gonersI'd love to see what you are selling.
Two very good books about French knives. Unfortunately there seems to be no English language edition.![]()
It is a shame that there is no english version for single language folks like me but I have been seriously considered getting a copy of the laguiole book if only for the pictures.
Eben!Tx308 The Laguiole Book is available in German as well - just in case you speak German better than French
