Just mounted the Williams WGRS peepsight on a Marlin 44 MAG carbine yesterday; I'm going to zero it after hunting tomorrow morning (with another rifle), then take this one hunting tomorrow afternoon. The MAKO went hunting with me this morning. OH

Colt Python in a Galco sling is some old school goodness….none better IMHO

Seriously though some of the good threads like this one & others seem to have have been falling off lately... This firearm thread, the cast iron & the dog threads... We need to pick up the pace...

Speaking of which, I do need to post more as well...
Anyway here's a GEC #81 & S&W J-frame to help keep this thread up.



P.S. Those old mint containers can do a good job at holding spares of various kinds.

Had a small window of good weather today for a few rounds with my boy and my pops and my brother-in-law and his boy.
Picked up this new burlap f&f and had to bring it along for some pics. Pops had a new echelon too. Felt more like a 40 or 10mm with it’s ported slide than a 9mm… fun gun.

Still have both my peepers, but the Mrs washed my mouth out with soap after 1 too many “dadburnits”.

Looks like we have a similar carry philosophy.

I don't know about JOELSM but mine is a Federal HST, .38 special+P

The reason they look odd is the bullet is VERY deeply seated in the cartridge case. They are pretty much just for these small snub-nosed revolvers.

Federal has a 38 Special+P Micro HST load that seats the bullet deep that way ... they resemble a wadcutter load looks wise, but test well for expansion and penetration. Specifically designed for short barrel revolvers.
