O.B.

XR650L? Can’t see enough to be sure. Nice rig. A 650 single is a great way to tour.

Boy, Leslie, this is too good not to join in. I love a muskrat "hunt". I'll take this opportunity to show a few pics of my recently departed hunting pal, Tuff, as I treasured every moment that I had with him - a cold morning in a duck blind, a long truck ride to hunt pheasants in South Dakota (he didn't talk much, but was good listener), a late night sit by the fire.

Setting up dekes off Possum Point, looking across Quantico Creek toward Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.

Stuart, D Duckdog , it warms my heart to see a dog that likes to hunt. My Lab prefers to take up the easy chair, and my English Shepherd prefers to nap. The best hunter we have is the cat. He keeps my barn pest free.

TheChunk91 TheChunk91 , your dogs look so happy. It speaks well of you.

I do not know where to begin in commenting on the incredible images and stories we have been treated to over the last two days!
I believe there are quite a few Renaissance Men on the Porch.

@Fodderwing , Dwight you are one of the best photographers we have. I could have easily listed the Grand Canyon as my favorite spot. I have hiked it rim to rim several times, and my wife and I were married at Yaki Point on the South Rim. There is no place even close to it.

@Old Engineer , as much as I appreciate Yellowstone Harry, the photo of your den at Christmas really got to me. And your TEW is one of my all time favorites.

@MCar , that photo is stunning!

@Chief , @JTB_5 , O Old Biker , @fishiker , @flatblackcapo , @Bigfattyt , @r redden , 315 315 , @SVTFreak , and Henry Beige Henry Beige , all I can say is that each one of your posts was epic!

Keep’m coming everybody! This is so entertaining that it should become an ongoing thread.

Well, Leslie, Tuff had a lot of drive to retrieve, but he wasn't above kickin' back in the blind.

Especially if we were grilling some fresh goose or simmering some venison stew.

Oh, a random knife pic, too. Life in the blind or field with him was blissful and a heck of a lot of fun.

My special place (home), my special person, my special animals, and my special knife. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful posts. I feel like I know each of you even though we have never met. Maybe we can say hello in Titusville next year. I will make the drawing and announce the winner Sunday morning! Good Luck to all.

Leslie, I'm certainly in. Many pictures of cherished places are not in the 'cloud'. But I do have a few taken at a beautiful place that we've been going to for many years. It is the home of friends on a bluff on the SE shore of Lake Michigan. The house is modest, but the scenery more than makes up for it. I've had many a good time here watching our girls grow up, one of whom is pictured.

The Helle is the knife that got me started on the path of the sharper edge. It fittingly was bought at an outfitter in town.
