TRADITIONAL KNIFE GAW , The “MY TURN FOR A GAW” Part II

Thank you for such a generous giveaway. I realize it is closed already but I thought I would share anyways. Here are just a few of the places special to me:

The first is of a hiking trip with my wife and friend to Yosemite. We camped at Inspiration Point and this was the view from the camp site.

The second is from Kalinga, Philippines. This is where my wife is from and her family still lives. It truly is a beautiful place.View attachment 982357
The third is a view from my lanai (porch) after a nice Kona sunset. I’ve been fortunate to live on the Big Island for over 12 years now.

I know that view well :) Did you get a chance to explore more of the park?

We stayed for about a week and did some exploring. We didn’t get to go too deep into the back country because of all the snow (it was April) so we mostly did day hikes. What a beautiful place though, we really want to go back.

Awesome :) April can be hit or miss depending on the weather. If you do get a chance to come back, right now is the perfect time of the year to explore the high country. I'd say anytime Labor Day through the first week or two of October is prime-time (no crowds, no mosquitos, no snow). Hope you can make it back some day.

Stuart, @Duckdog , it warms my heart to see a dog that likes to hunt. My Lab prefers to take up the easy chair, and my English Shepherd prefers to nap. The best hunter we have is the cat. He keeps my barn pest free.

@TheChunk91 , your dogs look so happy. It speaks well of you.

I do not know where to begin in commenting on the incredible images and stories we have been treated to over the last two days!
I believe there are quite a few Renaissance Men on the Porch.

Fodderwing Fodderwing , Dwight you are one of the best photographers we have. I could have easily listed the Grand Canyon as my favorite spot. I have hiked it rim to rim several times, and my wife and I were married at Yaki Point on the South Rim. There is no place even close to it.

@Old Engineer , as much as I appreciate Yellowstone Harry, the photo of your den at Christmas really got to me. And your TEW is one of my all time favorites.

@MCar , that photo is stunning!

@Chief , @JTB_5 , @Old Biker , F fishiker , @flatblackcapo , @Bigfattyt , @r redden , @315 , @SVTFreak , and @Henry Beige , all I can say is that each one of your posts was epic!

It came in yesterday, but I was slow to post the pictures. This knife is an absolute stunner in person. I really like the pattern. I can't decide whether I want to carry it or keep it perfect more. It cries out to be carried, but the moment anything bad happens to it it will break my heart.
