Before collecting pocket knives, I was into playing cards and accumulated pretty decent amount of decks, but I wasn't into tricks or gambling, so eventually ended up selling almost everything except for a few favorite decks.

The idea of creating some interesting photos by mixing knives and cards wad already growing in me for some time, but no respective threads popped up. And the only one I found on a subject is long dead with all pics broken.

So I'll give it a start here with the original first edition Bicycle Americana deck and recent GEC 83 with Mexican Bocote covers.

Thanks to M mrszeontestpilot for the original thread! Feel free to post your decks and cards, and add an interesting cutlery classic too.

Great picture! Lots of photography skill here. A brief info on a deck, like name or brand/maker, would be appreciated, for I assume it is antique, or at least vintage.
i guess the cards are from a mini deck, vintage i would say yes,
found it on a flea market.

World War I commemorative deck, published on the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele (1917), featuring historic photos and posters of the time, by Piatnik. The knife is recent Schrade Old Timer 72OTB Peanut, at least that's what it actually is, for I recall that the manufacturer called it Dog Leg jack, which is incorrect according to Levine's Guide (too small for the Dog Leg category).

French deck of the 60s, inherited a few from my grand parents, they used to play belote and gin rummy (-no you won't play with us, you're too young, sit and watch!-)
The wooden box was an incentive given to store the cards for bistro's customers. Darker spots are souvenirs of Grand'Ma's Gitane or Grand Pa's Celtique fags. 😄
The little Opi is also a café's gift.

French theme: Voltige deck of a Deep Parisian Blue color with Opinel models 2, 3, and 4. One of my favorite decks, it brings up some history of playing cards by naming the characters of King, Queen, and Jack cards. Quote on the center card is from poet Jules Renard, as long as I know. Jolipapa Jolipapa maybe you could give us a proper translation, for my french is 0. Please? :)
