Vintage watches (mostly Omega wristwatches) are another passion. There was a time when the USA made the world's best watches. Here are a few of mine.
Beautiful watches! Where are the knives?
;)

Nice Westclox that Blaine. I like a black faced watch, good change. Fine Conductor too, even if it does have a bail:D:thumbup:

Only got a couple of working pocket-watches. A Molniya from the former USSR, full hunter. Not a bad watch at all actually. And a recent quartz Colibri, also quite OK. Years ago I did have a nice silver English watch, but running across a road to catch a bus it jumped out of my pocket, chain came loose and whack on the ground. Miracle the glass&face didn't get smashed, but a good dent in the case and the works wrecked. An ornament now.

Thanks! That was a generous gift from a certain Mr. Hilborn. I put a nice, sturdy Victorinox chain on it.

As we're all sadly aware, for the most part factory production of USA made knives went the way of USA made watches. :(

You missed Gary's point. This is a knife forum and the expectation is that there will be knives displayed with the watches.

Is it still too early for a drink?!

The pocket watch I was gifted by my dad when I was a boy - it´s made in Glashütte, Thüringen (Thuringia), Germany

Never too early for a drink, Andi: my Great Great Grandpa used to drink a tumbler of whiskey first thing every morning to get himself going. The silver hunter's case was his. The gold one is mine with no family history. Black knife is a pre Simmonds Walden, and MOP is a Simmonds keen kutter.

How about a knife, a pocket watch, two guns and a silver dollar!

Sorry for the flash reflection.

I can't really make out the name on this survivor but it looks like UNION KNIFE WORKS GERMANY.
I checked Levine's 2nd edition but the Union Knife Works he lists was a USA company.
Maybe the 4th edition has more info.
