Great pic, Jean-Marc, of you and Alain. I will raise a glass of bourbon (sounds French!) tonight to friendship. And to knives!
Great pic, Gary. I like that line the little kid said in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes about Marilyn's character having "animal magnetism"!You guys are having too much fun! I'll join in!
Here's one from a dozen years ago, or so. My wife and I were in Washington DC and she caught me sidling up to Marilyn Monroe in the lobby of the St. Gregory Hotel.

Nice pic, Joshua. But what's the white stuff?View attachment 2254339
My wife and I back in March when we visited Idaho; which is where we moved our family this summer.
It is wonderful to see you guys!
Forgot to use my head and shoulders and a heavy wind kicked up my dandruff.Great pic, Jean-Marc, of you and Alain. I will raise a glass of bourbon (sounds French!) tonight to friendship. And to knives!

If those trees fell in the forest, would Dan make a sound? Did you pile those up, or are you showing great trust in someone else?

Something to log in your memory. If I had stacked these trees myself I wouldn't have been so confident.
That said I did some of these walls in my youth and this one seemed safe to me.
But now that you mention it...
Dan.
Years ago, me and my friends would sleep out in an old climber's cave. The odd one would be a bit nervous about it. I used to laugh, and say how it'd been there for thousands of years. A while back the roof collapsed! If I had stacked these trees myself I wouldn't have been so confident.

Still... I say make a run for it Dan!!!There was no risk. Behind me are two trees which, for some reason, were cut down about two meters above the ground. They are two pillars that support the vault formed by the stacked trunks.
I am not crazy.
Dan.

La fine équipe... Heureux de vous voir en bonne forme (et de mettre un visage sur un pseudo).
This thread had no new posts during 2024, but I thought I'd wake it up to show off a Christmas present, and maybe introduce the thread to newer BF member who weren't aware of its existence. Here's a photo of little old me with my big new Rough Ryder 30th Anniversary stockman. My wife took the photo soon after she gave me the knife on Christmas Day.

Nice "mug shots", Steve and Jeff!Good resurrection, Gary, it's time for my 5 year update. This was from our trip to Ireland, with a nod to a favorite movie of mine.
