Traditional mug shots

Thanks Dave!
Did ya know Merlin Rupp or know of him? Pretty famous buckaroo, hair twister and braider up OR way and also famous for his huge stache. Merlin passed away a few years back and my son and I were just talking a month or so ago about who had the best stache now that Merlin was gone. Of guys we knew we settled on Dwight Hill, here at the back of our truck looking at knives at the Skills show there in Parkfield:

All stache, no beard.

Things that cowboys talk about.

That mecate I use in many of my knife shots was twisted by Merlin.

My son lives on Oahu and we visited him last October. His friend has a banana tree in his back yard; and he gave us a branch full of tree ripened bannanas. Think these were "apple bananas", smaller, sweeter, and more flavorful than the varieties sold on the mainland. We sliced them up and froze them. MUCH better than ice cream.

No, I didn’t know Merlin Rupp but a Google search turned up some pictures, he did have a good one. That’s quite a ‘stache in your picture on Dwight too. Maybe I’ll be in the running one day!

ALL of the content in this post is so very cool, That 'stache is something else - whew! Our very good friend Mr. Dave Gentry has a mighty 'stache - it's pretty darned cool!

Every detail in the Horses gear, the gear that people are wearing etc - I'm loving looking at this- as a New Zealander- we just don't see this stuff, mind you we have our big Farms at "the back" but I'm guessing nothing like the bigger Countries like Australia and the States.

Ok.....I am going to do it.....

Because I don't know, maybe there might not be too many kicks coming in when I hit the dirt, so here goes.....

When you post your great photo's - everyone is wearing real tidy gear- the Chaps are always clean and mint etc, Im figuring that if you spend a couple of days on a horse working - they would be looking pretty broken in by then, so would this mean that you guys have different gear for different types of gatherings?

I hope I'm not offending anyone, but I always admire what I see, and the question pops up now and then- so I need to quieten down the noise in my head by knowing the answer. 🤣

We both competed so we didn't have a booth, but did sell some knives off the tailgate of the pickup.
Good pic of you and Nicole 👍🤠
I don’t think I’ve ever posted in this thread before. Here I am:

I typically keep my ugly mug off the internet but here’s one. Buffalo hunting with my muzzleloader a couple years ago.

Sorry, haven’t had a chance to sit down and answer this. I certainly will. Been pretty busy last couple.
