• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Traditional of the month: Peanut.

Arrived completely new today ... Peanut in CV (Chestnut Bone)

Here´s a pair-shot of my both Peanuts

You can see the not centered blade of the blue one on this pic ... it rubs against the liner and gets dull at that point all the time, I think I should send it back to Case

Kind regards
Andi

@Pete: Thank you! The F&F on that one is really great ootb. No gaps and bladeplay or whatever. The blades are nicely centered, but not really sharp. No problem ;)

I really like it!

Kind regards
Andi

My Peanut end of the month wrap up. I've been carrying my peanut everyday for a little over 5 months now, and it handles 98% of my tasks. It has trimmed my fishing line, gut and trims fish, I've used it to prep dinner, cut my steak, as a fruit knife, and have carved with it. I'm still a two knife guy but my peanut is my primary go to knife, I've really only used my sheepsfoot and my awl/punch on my stockman a few times in the last month, and have carried my moose but I don't beleave I used it on the days I carried it. The little fella is more then capable it seems on most days.
Picture on the left is from 05/07/12 on right 5/31/12 since the picture my nut has peeled a orange, cleans my pipe , gone fishing, cut broccoli, and my ribeye, and made fresh lemonade.

These are some carvings the nut made

And peach pits it chewed through

And a fish it gutted and trimmed for a impromptu afternoon snack

It was a good month with the nut and today was no exception, caught a nice crappie on my first cast today, followed by my 2nd, and 3rd. In a hour and a half caught 14 crappies, and 3 peachseeds.
This was my first catch hard to see in the pic but I carry a small tape measure and it was 14"

Well the peanuts is not going to leave my pocket anytime soon but I'm voting for the stockman for June.
P.S. Andi I really like how gnarly your chestnuts scales are I don't think mine started out that way.
