Trapped on a deserted Island folding knife

I'll just break a few rocks and pick the one with the sharpest edge and best handle.
The OP however said something good about clipping it to the pocket. That might be hard...

The OP did specifically say "folding knife". It says it right in the title of the thread ;).

I'd want a folder with a pair of pliers built into it. In case I have to pull out a tooth. I saw the movie "Castaway". On a deserted island you're going to have to be your own doctor, dentist, etc.

If a multi-tool qualifies as a "folding knife" (it has a blade that folds out of the handle), I'd choose a large multi-tool. Knife blade, saw, pliers could all come in handy.

Out of what I own for folders; a SAK Fireman because it has both a knife & saw blade. (not my pic) Or, even better would be a super tool 300 IMHO.

Why this thing needed a corkscrew is beyond me though...:confused:

Awesome replies tho guys, keep me coming this is turning out to be a fun read :D

Lol omg is that real? And dang you mush have deep pockets to fit that one ;)

It only takes deep pockets to afford it as it is quite tidy when folded:

Another choice for me would be the Rajah II like others have mentioned; shame it is not available in XL Espada size.;) *tactical knife cleaning toothbrush not included I've used my RII to heck and back and it has shrugged off the abuse.

I'd have to say my Swiss Champ. Magnifying glass for fire, saw, pliers it has it all. Even a small pen to write a journal! I could carve a spear or club for other tools. Love that thing.

My Pro-Tech TR-5 AO

I would trust this knife with my life. Seriously.

If multitools are allowed, my pre-Taylor Schrade Tough-Tool. That really is one incredibly tough SOB of a knife.

If it has to be an actual pocket folder with clip, it would have to be a Spyderco Manix 2 XL.

Almost perfect except for the lack of a dedicated wood saw IMHO (missing on mine at least LOL!)

I love the TT regardless as it is a tank; used mine for years now with zero issues.

Those nail clipper on the "giant wenger" makes me think...
...is it allowed on a plane?
...will keep me decent on the beach!

I try to imagine someone pulling his own "aching tooth" with this giant, although the build in flashlight might help....
;)
