Trapped on a deserted Island folding knife

I'll take my Pacific Salt too...

Question is... WHAT did that knife do to you so you had to punish it sooooo much? I have done the zip-tie wave thing to a couple folders myself. Ok... but... TWO zip ties? And... did you paint over the yellow FRN handles?

Kidding side, I want to get one of those myself. Serrated for sure, and yellow handles for visibility!

Are You serious about the knife ? If I get trapped on a deserted island , the only thing I need is Miss universe 2013 next to me :D

It's his knife so he will mod/use it as he pleases. Plus; those mods are not permanent by any means.

On topic. Someone mentioned (forgot to tag them ) an Opinel 13; I think that would be great choice due to the thin blade for slicing & light chopping. Even the #12 (top knife in this pic) that I have is a beast so the 13 would be that much sweeter. Definitely need to patina the blade first & seal the pivot LOL because of corrosion and the handle swelling. ;):D

I would take a Gerber BG Sheath Folding knife or my Victorinox One Hand trekker

the gerber is bright so I wont lose it, and its thick

The Vic has a lot of great tools including a saw

Rajah II.

-Thick spine
-Strong lock
-Kukri-like blade profile

I'm pretty sure that knife could do most tasks I'd ask of a fixed blade survival knife, including building shelter and processing firewood.

I think the RAO II would fair pretty well on the beach opening coconuts for pina coladas...;)

Or, the Fox knives Tracker - an even bigger beast of a folder.

Really? How did you get the knife on the plane?
I'd like to know this as well...you smuggle a knife on the plane? Are you the reason it went down? What's going on here?

One would have to locate there checked bags for this to even be feasible...but then in my case I'd have my gso4.1 and 10 (or bk9) my benchmade bushcrafter, pm2, manix2, and a multi tool.

There is one above all for this. The DPX HEST.

I found it was a nice little knife but came up short in terms of living up to it's touted outdoors capabilities. YMMV...

Too small, too thick of a grind for outdoors use and barely there (although very smooth) lockup as in not enough pressure on the lockbar to feel safe without using the secondary lock. :thumbdn: Not my cup of java at all.
