Trapped on a deserted Island folding knife

Spyderco Salt Pacific with the H1. Of course it would have to be a private plane. TSA wouldn't let me fly with that clipped to me pocket.

All Ti, all the time... I'd imagine these would hold up pretty well. ;)

Really? How did you get the knife on the plane?

Good question, but applies to commercial aviation. Maybe it was a charter plane, or some other that doesn't have that TSA regulation. This is fantasy, anyway, so the invitation is to play. My first choice would be the Victorinox OH Trekker. It has no clip, but can be carried easily by paracord dangler, which is how I do mine, and the paracord can also be useful. The steel is highly rust resistant and can be easily resharpened, which I consider to be more important than a really hard steel because they all need resharpening at some point. Also, an awl and saw are good to have, and even the bottle opener can come in handy if you find a case of beer washed ashore :D .

Svord Peasant. It's pretty fool proof and robust. Fire and shelter can be made from dead fall and thatching, make a fire board, etc.

This. Aluminum won't rust. XHP will hold an excellent edge and is fairly rust resistance. And it's a triad lock so it can take a beating.

If multitools are allowed, it would be my Victorinox SwissChamp.
It got all the tricks for setting up your camp and doing random tasks, with blades that can build nice figure four traps and such.
Maybe I could even use the fish scaler I never use. :D

muzeONE: Excuse my ignorance, but what model is this?

It's interesting how often Cold Steel has come up in this thread.

It's the Code 4, in the Spear Point blade shape variation
CS is so often chosen because they've proven how tough and reliable their folders are

getting closer to Fixed Blades in strength, sturdiness and toughness than most of the competition
