Turn Your Radio On!

:D

Waiting for my Diamond Jack Blood Red Radio! I'll have to pre-celebrate by picking up something with a cap on the way home from work and use my Boy's Radio in anticipation of the Diamond.

droolllllll

Jack and Duncan, that jar of Marmite is almost empty! I have used it to fortify some gravy, and I spread/drizzle a little on my breakfast toast, with almond butter 3-4 times a week. I may start speaking with a different accent!!
:D

Haha Great! I am real pleased to see that Charlie! Jack will have a smile reading this

But will you be buying another jar - that's the big question! ;)

There is definitely another jar coming down the pipe!!

A couple of weeks ago, I was strolling along the boardwalk with my sweetie, enjoying the grandeur of God:

We stopped at the little coffee shop down by the bay. My companion was thirsty, and having very refined tastes, she ordered one of those fancy, barely sweetened sparkling waters. We walked away before discovering that the cap was the old fashioned kind that required an opener.

I checked my pockets and found this:

And this:

I had to go back to the cafe and fight my way through the crowd to get the attention of the staff, and then waited while they searched for an opener.

I was unprepared that night. My lovely lady had to wait in the cold because my knives were not properly equipped.

Never again!

The next week we made the same walk, and she ordered the same "soda pop." This time I was ready:

We continued on our way, barely breaking stride, my beautiful bride appreciative of her husband's handy Radio Jack, the romance of the evening unblemished by the search for a bottle opener. And later I learned another valuable lesson: A spouse is much more appreciative of a pocket knife collection when it means she doesn't need to find a cap lifter for her beer!

Awesome! What's more handy than being able to pop that cap with your trusty pocket knife! Great pics too. :)

Can't wait to receive the Radio Jack I have on order. I love this model more and more. In fact I find myself becoming increasingly fascinated with the #15, in all it's configurations. I dare say the 15 is the most classic of all the GEC masterpieces. It's ideal in size and shape.

Dammit now i got to get one!!!

I am love, love, loving having a screwdriver on my knife again, just as in the days (years, decades) of yore with my SAK.

Thanks, Charlie!

Glad you are even more happily married, Scott!:D

You are welcome, Sarah!!
Zoom zoom! We don't see as much of you these days!:(

I'm in love with this knife, Charlie. It might be heresy on some threads, but I like it even more than my Barlows: that Northfield Diamond bling, the brass liners, the convenience of having a decent screwdriver and cap lifter inside such a classy package...

The blade etch is fading quickly, but the Radio Jack blade art is my all-time favorite. Kudos to the design team. (Was that Barry and Sarah?)

With my Radio Jack in one pocket and my Charlow in the other, I confidently walk out the door to take on whatever adventures come my way!

In the English language, we don't have but one word to describe what we more than like, in an object or possession. I totally get what you're saying, Scott. It's the first time I'm aware of, that a screwdriver blade was added to a Jack, since the 1960s maybe. Neat'O :D

Having the screwdriver does away with the temptation to wreck the blade with "just a little" prying! I have been toting one around for a week and have opened the screwdriver to use way more than the blade! Could be my new best friend!
Barry is the Artist, and Sarah and I are the (usually) respectful critics. Several drawings go into getting the final work!
Sarah is my chief editor, with Jon_Slider occasionally providing ideas and second opinions.
It takes a village!!

I'm pretty much with you. I love my barlows and other boy's knives, but this one really is special. I was surprised at how much I like the brass liners over the steel, as well. It's a very classy, and very handy knife.

Brass Liners YES! Love brass liners here, they're just more classy to me, so this feature really caught my attention in the Diamond Radio Jack. :)
