Tweenahs - New Pictures, specs...

Hmmm I liked the Lord of the Rings movies but couldn't get into the books just too wordy I guess. I don't remember a hobbites quote.

nassty thingsss hobbittsessss....
they triesss to sssteal my precioussss......

I'm pretty new to the forum and have been eyeing the bk2 and bk11. So pardon my ignorance but what's a tweener? I might want to wait and get a tweener. Is it smaller? Thinner? The name tends to lead one to think that Aragorn might use one to cut his steak with and Frodo Baggins might fight with one.?

Steve

did you look at the first post?

Revenuer:

"Tweener" as in in-between the BIG Beckers (BK2, BK5, BK7) and the neck knives. So smaller, lighter, thinner, and with a new handle design.

To carry the LOTR analogy forward: a hobbit would baton with a BK11, Aragorn would baton with a BK16 (the BK2 Tweener analog), and a Cave Troll would baton with a BK2.

Nice analogy. Cleared it right up for me. :D

Thanks BRL, appreciate the explanation. Being new to the forum and unfamiliar with different makes, models, types of steels and lingos (batoning was new to me when I joined) takes some reading to get a good grasp of. Thank you.

Steve

Sure did. Looks like a becker knife which I've never owned or held. I assume they are different from the standard Beckers.

yeah, they're very different, in between, and new ;)

because kydex dies are expensive and can only be used for one thing.
cordura sheaths can be programmed into an automated sewing machine.

Man Vik, you've gotta come in behind me and tell people the real answers don't ya??? :D LOL

OK.
because cave trolls hate the way kydex splinters get stuck between their teeth.
cordura is good roughage -- lotsa fiber.

better? :D
