Hardly extolling the practice, nearly addressing it... Closing your eyes and ignoring it doesn't make it go away.
It's a shameful practice, and unfortunately anyone who is willing/looking to purchase an inferior product, period, isn't likely going to consider paying top dollar for the real thing either way, with or without a thread such as this... Kind if like an alcoholic won't stop drinking, even if you ban alcohol, not until/unless it's on their own terms, sick and tired of being sick and tired: same applies to folks willing to purchase inferior knock offs, until they get sick of their cheaper blades breaking, chipping, and dulling prematurely, and they realize they'd have been better served just spending more once to last many years, possibly a life time, rather then paying less again and again, only to pay more in the long run... Some will never get it though unfortunately...but again, those people hell bent on looking for a $20 knife, are not going to consider a $100+ superior model, no matter what. I think addressing the issue openly is at least a better approach to put the topic out there then pretending it doesn't happen.
