I loved the SAW. The few times they let me play with one it was a blast. Does get hot... But reach up and grab the barrel of the M2A1 after a belt of rounds and see how that feels LMAO

I finally got my expert marksman badge with the M16 after several tries (15 or so LOL) and scored expert first try with the M2A1... But never even got to qualify with the SAW. :(

I've always wanted to shoot a SAW. I was talking to my dad, he was behind an M60 on the M113 APC in Vietnam, and he said they are an awesome weapon to shoot

I will miss you here in CO buddy. Wish I had been able to spend more time with you when I had the chance. Have a great trip. :)

Well, you'll always be welcome at my place in Texas too (although as hard as it's been to spend time in the same state, being a thousand miles further can't help; I'll probably have to fly ya out or something at some point). We still got to finish that knife up.

WW, that Swamp Rat looks great; I'd love a satin-finish one of those. Nice design. I'm curious about cost, but I know my wife will just tell me to make my own interpretation...

Depending on who you talk to, the M60 is a great weapon or a complete pile. It just depends on when they were in the service and how worn out their guns were. Actually that goes for most weapons used by the military. I still talk to guys that hate the M16 because they got the early ones back in the 50's that weren't built to the designer's specs and my dad was soured on the 1911 for a while because he was in the Marines in the 70's and they were all made during WWII.

Don't they have a new version of the M60 with a vastly better barrel or barrel cooling system or something of that ilk? A lot of the guys I talked to that didn't like the M60 didn't like it because of how quickly you'd burn out the barrel with sustained fire, but with the stellite-lined barrel, that particular issue might be somewhat addressed (E4 or 5 or something?). It's definitely hard to convince someone who's used an old version extensively that a newer version could be any better.

WW that rat looks awesome. Mind if I ask what those run? Probably around 250-ish?

The knob creek show sticker price was around 240. They are not available any other way directly from the company (YET, could be later though) But there are already some selling in the exchange for around 285-290. Selling pretty quickly too.

Anyone remember my knife design that I am wanting Todd to make ? The Blade is almost identical down to the grind. Handle is totally different, and their blade is 1/2 inch thinner top to bottom, but damn its close..lol

ZZ and DOC, Both of you have packages on the way. Thanks fellas, hope they serve yall well.

20 more headed into the world!! 30 more in the process of being completed. Probably my last batch of these. At least for a good WHILE.

Hot diggity damn!!!! :D Thanks Woody. I hope you didn't forget to enclose the "Certificate of Authenticity" for when they become collector's items. :D

Just scored an Izula with micarta on the exchange. Didn't really need it, but the price was good and I haven't had one for like 3 years.

my dad alawys talked about how much he loved his. he was a training NCO while stationed in germany before going to 'Nam, so he was able to qualify on all sorts of weapons. same thing with the M16, he vastly prefered the M14, which is what he trained on. he's told me that it felt like a toy. same reason he loves the 1911, its all steel so it feels like a gun to him, he actually carried one everyday while he was over there
his unit was actually one of the first to be issued a MK19 for their APC's, that would be another awesome weapon to shoot.
