If you saber the top off of a beer with a BK-15 don't be surprised if it takes a couple sharpenings to get out what you just did.

You're supposed to use the spine for that sort of thing.

On the note of 15's: PSA kids! Don't put safety glasses on with the same hand you're holding the 15 with. Almost gave myself a new haircut.

Has mountainmist hacked Tankerwolf's account? That sounds like something he would do. At least you were sort of thinking of safety, with the safety glasses and all. So, there's that...

They finally announced the winner of the Survivorman contest. I was not picked to be on the show. It is a bummer but in the grand scheme of things it is not a big deal.

I appreciate everyone supporting me by voting and sharing the link. It would have been an honor to represent this group on the show but it just wasn't meant to be.

Thanks a lot you guys!

Jeremy

Hug your people, people. Too many folks around these parts dying really quickly. Yes, they lived long, good lives, but still...hug your people.

Here's one more video from yesterday. Sorry for the string of posts. :D :o

Feeling good, aren't they? Guess if they're gonna' live in those WV hills, they gotta' be tough . . . ;)

Funny; that's what my conscious said right after I looked at the edge.

I was rushing with the 15 and trying to do 10 things at once so wasn't even thinking about it in my hand when I went to put them on.

Any of you hear about Glock collecting peoples personal info from gun stores?

Sucks Dres.

Playing around with the SWATmandu and the 15

Not too much of a difference. Did it again with the spine and there was a lot less damage on both.

PSA: Don't drink and knive.

Damn Tanker, I thought you meant you popped the lid, you really sabered the bottle. Thats not much damage at all considering glass messes the edge up even on diamonds...lol

If they're gonna go to WV they'd better be tough, it's gonna be quite a walk on those little legs! :D ;)

snark, I live about 45 minutes to an hour from the WV line. Lot's of people get confused because I'm in the habbit of saying "western Virginia" :D

That sucks, would of been nice to see ya there. Lets hope they do it again!

Lots of hugs around here today. But I'll squeeze a little more tonight!

The daughter turned 3 today. She had a wonderful little family party with us tonight. The big celebration is on Saturday.

Got a bit of a headache tonight. Think when the kids go to bed I'll turn in too.

Hello....hello hello......

Ah, well. Finally pulled my sap buckets this evening and plugged the holes. Then put about 50 rounds through the Benji Trail NP. Such a fun air gun. Waiting for the new trigger...at least the mod I did makes it more shootable.

How many gallons have you made this year?

None. They're being made for me. One of the dads at my daughter's elementary school goes around town and collects it, boils it down, gives a percentage to the collectors (me and all the other neighbors) and sells the rest for Environmental School (part of the curriculum at the elementary school). I collected about 20 gallons of sap from the two trees I tapped; I'll prolly get back a little 3 oz. bottle of syrup, LOL. I don't care, really. It's so much cheaper to buy it from the store or local producers given the costs of equipment, time to boil it down and all that other stuff. Mostly wanted to see if my trees would produce anything.....and they did. This summer I'll mark all the maples in the back yard for next spring. Hopefully I'll have more than two spiles & buckets next year.

Well, the stock trigger is unpredictable and has waaaay too much travel and pull weight....one of the mods I found online was to add a 5x8.5x3 mm bearing from the (RC car) hobby store and remove the spring.....so I did. Not hard, the trigger breaks better now and has MUCH less force to pull....still a little unpredictable, but at least I don't have to pull it all the way to the end of it's travel to get the damn thing to fire. I've got another bearing if you want it....pretty easy mod to do, even for me - and I am a complete neophyte with this stuff. PM me or give me a call, or maybe I'll see you in a couple weeks, hopefully? Charlie Da Tuna trigger should be here soon. Everything I've read says that is the BOMB. Still a hella fun gun to shoot.

oboe!

violia!

er, voila!

Table Thursday

Probably add bracing and a lower storage / tool deck or even drawers later but for now a more than acceptable outfeed zone and assembly area...

Thanks for the info. I've read good things about the Tuna trigger also.
