Two For Tuesday

I decided to go with a green theme today.

Patch & Runt:

This is one skinny-handled Runt!

Hunter & Patch:

Hunter & Runt:

The Runt is only about ¼” longer overall that the handle on the Hunter.

I'm not usually a fan of green knives, but those look real good together.

It counts in my book since it is paired with a GB. Add a small slipjoint folder and you have a nice Trio Thursday post as well.

...I actually got a pic ready for Thursday as well..

It's not a slipjoint though!

Phil, your Shadetree is just stunning. I should probably do some selling in order to acquire more of it.

WOW - ton of great sets today!

Bill, great set of Dukes. CURLY Q!

Capt Kirk, nice G10. The FG EDK with the mosaic is killer.

steve o, very cool location shot.

Tod, you know how I feel about both the burlap and antique canvas in yours.

Will, I'm sure the AT was worth the fuzzy pics. Would love to go there someday. Even with the fuzziness, I can tell that one of those would go perfect with my current trend (see below).

GB - of course that duo is welcome. Very nice one at that!

Phil, All I ever do with your Shadetree pics is covet the knives that are in them.

With HUGE thanks to Walt (McVeyMac) for answering my WTB thread a while back, I was able to add to my growing orange sub collection. My 3/32" Bocote Hiking Buddy gained a cousin in a 3/32" Arizona Desert Ironwood Bushraptor:

There are a lot of great duos in the last couple of pages, but this photo is my favorite. The lighting and background are great and I especially like the way it shows the perfect grind lines on the blades. Well done Nathan!

Here's the Two I came home with today (Tuesday).

Esquire and Leuku

Bud -- those are STUNNING; loving that Leuku!

Let's see some more Two-fers!

Here's a two-fer of small, EDC knives:

And a two-fer of not small, not EDC knives:

And why not? Bonus shot to show perspective

Great sets Nathan -- some killer sets there; have you gotten the woodsman out for any hard use yet?

Some great 2'fers there Nate.

How about some double Dukes.

As always --  :eek

Nice 2fers everyone!

Here's a 2fer of G10 (forest green vs slate blue).

God slate blue is epic -- I'd love to see some sandblasted as it looks like it would be an awesome color!

A 2fer in Joshua Tree.

Bushfinger & a Wave -- what's not to like?!

Great two for Tuesdays everybody!

Here is two in stainless.

Nice Tod -- that BF is sweeet!

I only got the one, does this count..?

Digging the bushboot for sure -- great post

I decided to go with a green theme today.

Patch & Runt:

Pure madness!! Loving the emerald hunter with bolsters -- that thing is a BEAST! The runt is equally cool!

Hunter & Patch:

Geez, another phenomenal pair -- that patch knife keeps calling to me, although I'm pretty stuck on the HB still! Great shots Phil!!!

This forum could use some more talk about knives and pictures of knives today.

Here are a couple of Camp knives. Camp Nessie and Camp Knife. The Camp Nessie is my favorite Fiddleback. My most comfortable handle, has dealt with everything I've thrown at it, and looks pretty darn cool to boot. I still haven't been able to do justice to the Camp Knife, but hope to some day. It's a beast.

Man that makes me wanna leave work and go out in the woods right now! (and it's raining, but I don't care!)

Most comfortable handles for a guy with big paws, I think Camp Nessie just went up to the top of my wishlist (wonder whether Andy had ever made them in 1/8"...gonna have to do some searching).

Not my best quickie photo, but i want to say that I concur with thurin on these two Camp knife models.

Alas, not that I've seen. I think Andy generally prefers to not go any thinner than 5/32" on blades 4.5" or longer. Maybe you can butter him up somehow for a special request. ;)

I put a pair of Fiddlebacks to work over a long weekend. I am really liking this very capable working pair. The first two pictures is of the Baldric/MOLLE combo rig that Rick at RLO made for me in the MOLLE configuration.

Making some small stuff with the Asp.

It rained that morning, so getting to the dry stuff proved challenging using a ferro rod.

Luckily I had some dry tinder to coax things along.

Haha, I was hoping as he did make that one Hunter in 1/8" couple of months ago. One can only hope, but 1/8, 5/32, 1/16, etc. I love them all from Andy.

Excellent setup Walt! Going up to state college in two weekends, maybe I'll skip on my friends and go hiking with you :D

Better yet, maybe a northeast FB get together?!?!?! :)

Walt wins.

That is awesome! I love seeing them put to work. Great rig for those two. Thanks for sharing.

Great quickie. If I didn't love my Nessie so much, I'd be figuring out how to steal the bolstered one from you.

Ok I can't keep the camp theme but I can keep the shadetree flowing
:)

Nice shadetree. The black almost takes on an otherworldly quality. Not sure I can explain it. The yellow really pops on the Runt. Cool swedge and trinity.

There is also a 1/8" TT Bushcrafter Sr. running around out there in osage orange with metal pins... they exist and are as rare as hen's teeth :D

Weekend after next I am around. I have 2.5K acres of woods in my backyard we can play in. Of course we will have to make some firewood before we can play (only a cord or two would be required before my wife will allow us to go play:).

Walt wins.

That is awesome! I love seeing them put to work. Great rig for those two. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks thurin, that pair fulfills everything that I can imagine needing a knife for while in the woods. The 1/8" Asp with the false grind really will do some fine work making feather sticks, constructing shelter, food prep, etc. and the Bishop will certainly take a zombies head off in addition to getting to the dry wood. This Bishop and this Asp, and that's all I need (don't tell my wife;)).
