Two For Tuesday

Great posts today guys! I snuck this one in between telecons; the Ms. was giving me some odd looks :D

There is also a 1/8" TT Bushcrafter Sr. running around out there in osage orange with metal pins... they exist and are as rare as hen's teeth :D

woh that is a grail. the senior is definitely on my wishlist as the regular BC is one of my favorite FBs. just recently got Leuku in 5/32" and it performs very much like shorter 1/8" knives I have, can't imagine how much greater it'd be in 1/8" (in terms of being a slicer that is, 5/32" is still more than fine for me for the Leuku).

Weekend after next I am around. I have 2.5K acres of woods in my backyard we can play in. Of course we will have to make some firewood before we can play (only a cord or two would be required before my wife will allow us to go play:).

Wow, that's awesome Walt, living near Philly, I always have to sneak around to find a place to play in the woods without getting yelled at. Would definitely like to meet up sometime in the future, as I see there are other Fiddlebackers in contiguous states as well. I can certainly help with firewood, will bring my Gransfors and Council Tools :D

I need to fly out there. Sounds like a great weekend. Good trade off, make some firewood in exchange for bumming around in the woods.

Thanks thurin, that pair fulfills everything that I can imagine needing a knife for while in the woods. The 1/8" Asp with the false grind really will do some fine work making feather sticks, constructing shelter, food prep, etc. and the Bishop will certainly take a zombies head off in addition to getting to the dry wood. This Bishop and this Asp, and that's all I need (don't tell my wife;)).

Walking Dead comes back on Sunday. Maybe we'll see a Bishop this season. I would never share any info about just needing two knives. That's crazy talk. Every knife has a very specific purpose. I have a lot of purposes, and therefor need a lot of knives.

Woops, is it Tuesday again already?

Loved all the outdoors pics you guys posted today

I forgot to take a fresh pic, but I carried these two today, like I do on most days:

Just smile lovingly at her and tell her there are a lot of ways to make a living in this world.

Go ahead and bring them, I have a GB maul for thurin. They probably won't let him bring his on carry on. I think I'll start up the gas engine on the hydraulic log splitter though, else I will be too pooped to play afterwards. The 2.5K acres of woods is not mine but belong to the state. We can play in them all we want to.

It does sound like fun. Heck I would even forego the firewood making if we can make this happen.

I'll have to set up recording the series on the DVR. My 13 y.o. grandson watches, so I can tell my wife it is for him. Not sure how I will explain deleting a recording before he has a chance to watch:eek:. I will be applying the "no Bishop, no save" rule.

LOL, I don't know if I can come up with as many purposes as I have knives. But, this will give me a good excuse to get everything out tonight and think about it. I know I had a specific purpose for every knife purchase that I have ever made. But, they are all kind of running together now.

Walt, that's a great Asp you have there!

Thank you very much. I usually like the Asp in 5/32" or larger as a stand alone knife, but paired with the Bishop, the 1/8" is the ticket. I got this one from Shank (I think). I bet he would not have let it go if he had a Bishop to go with it!

Welcome! I love my Asp in 1/8", but then I like most of the 4 inchers in 1/8". Looks like that might be one of the very first Asps, which several of us lusted after and eventually went to Sky (Shankerson might be able to verify). Either way, it's awesome!

Yes it is one of the first two from the 12/20 thread.

Holy crap, if I knew it was one of the Asp forefathers, I would have probably never used it. Oh well, it is a user now. I put Will's favorite 20, 21, 22 DPS stropped edge on it, and it worked fabulously. I could not be happier with it.

Now that is a great pic Will! I love those two knives.

Walt - thanks for sharing the pics of the bishop in action! That sheath set up with the molle system is awesome. Beautiful asp too!

Beautiful bolstered asp, glad to see that one again.

I can't get enough of the IW camp muk, that thing is amazing.

Here are a couple of my favorite users! Arete in 5/32" and scandi karda in 1/8".

Just got home and tried taking a pic with whatever natural light's left, unfortunately had to mess with post production to bump up the exposure. Great setup as always Will and Hasco.

My little edition: I LIKE ROUND BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE~

The Nicki Minaj of Fiddlebacks.

ha that's funny Walt for couple of reasons:
1. I had google to find out who that was
2. It seems to go well with the sir mix a lot reference I made
3. Unfortunately proves my fiance right again that I live under a rock
