I actually agree with this to a certain extent.They certainly have an "alien" look about them. I think many of the newer models are really nice looking, though.
The one knife (aside from possibly the Chicago) that I think flows well is the Manix 2. Looks fantastic both opened and closed.

Every time I try to carry another knife, my XM always ends up back in my pocket. The ergo's are excellent in every grip position. The smoothness is also amazing.
I actually just made an orange/black scale for my XM and I have a brown Hinderer scale on order. I may try it on the black scale.

Do you know the reasoning behind the Junior? It's meant to be a safe knife for children to use. Hence the funky handle shape and blade which lacks a point.
