Hi Mike,

It was, if I remember the story correctly, made at the request of a video game maker for killing zombies in one of their games.

Here's mine.

It's an interesting knife. I'm glad I have one. No, I don't think is ugly.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, however there is nothing but ugly in that knife.

I am waiting for the guy who always comes in with a line about how it has a special purpose and any real operator would instinctively know what it was.

One guy stated that it was for stabbing through the back and hooking/severing the spine :D

it is surprising it did not make it to the 'ugliest knives ever' thread.

hehe.

They have been around for awhile, and only a few handfulls are made each year. Quite rare. The "Look" is deceiving as it is a nice piece, not to mention functional.

I can't figure out how that blade shape is useful. Even for SD it doesn't really make sense.

hell I'm having a hard time figuring out where the handle ends and the blade begins.

LOL, I remember that. You must mean this guy:

On a more serious note here guys, the Strider Tiger is NOT a fantasy knife. It was designed with one specific purpose and mission in mind. If you can figure it out great but if you can't don't worry ,it just wasn't designed for your average Joe on the streets

Or this guy:

That's great, especially since you probably have no idea about it's intended purpose or use. There are a lot of poeple out there that would and do. So far, the only thing you've done is make yourself look ignorant.

Oh, and your favorite knife listed in your profile really says a lot about you and your knowledge of knives.

I couldn't find the spine-hooking one, but it's out there somewhere. Ahhhh, good times. :D

I can't speak for the designer but I cna see this as used for chopping? I don't happen to like this design, but Im sure its still sharp where its suppose to me, lol...Are the serratiosn on the back working serrations? Aslo is that a finger choil on the front or just part of the design? Ican't get an idea in my mind of the size....
