No, the original Tiger was a custom order for an individual. It has no special function, aside from aesthetic appeal to a limited number of people.

I should know, but is the one at the top of the pic (below) the SLCC? I prefer the EDs.

It is clearly designed to fight cougars that attack from behind. Just imagine trying to stab a cougar stuck to your back with a standard knife. There is no such thing as evolution. Just a list of animals the new Strider MP* allows to live.

Rich, the one at the top is an SLCC. I prefer the ED myself. It's easy to carry, even as a necker, it's so light. I wouldn't mind having an SLCC but I wouldn't have as much use for it so it's not worth the price for me. I remember I first saw them when TAD Gear marketed them with a jacket they would fit in some pocket or other. I got the jacket but not the knife. :)

Its obviously the ideal SD knife, when you get attacked by the bad guys, you pull the Tiger out and they're be laughing so hard they're forget about attacking you and you can run away.

I had a old hound dog a long time ago. He was the best dog I think my family ever had. He had this strange habbit though. Any time he'd see droppings out on the ground he'd have to go sniff and try a taste. Did this change how I felt about my dog? no. BUT the MORAL of THIS story IS... There is NO accounting for OTHER'S TASTES (or distastes ;) )
 
At least I can stand people knowing what got named for me.

It is a very radical knife design.
But, It looks like the design would be a good throwing knife.
 
But it's not the most pointless Strider...
