it looks nice and functional but when i saw "ultimate" i was expecting something revolutionary in design. This one happens to look like a ton of others out there.

Thanks for the link

Looks quite nice and practical. Has a modern Kephart look to it.
Kinda put me off a little when I heard it was stainless but 154CM is a good stainless and I guess quite a few people want a maintenance free blade !

after living with the TOPS Screaming Eagle (i know super subtle name right) I am officially in the 154 cm as an awesome steel camp. Great edge retention, tough and good stainless qualities.

After watching the build-up to the knife I was really disappointed, nothing new under the sun there.

Yeah I know Scrapyard knives had great results with the steel and so did Scott Gossman.....it's just that I'm an old fuddy duddy and like to see my Carbon blades take on a nice patina !:o

Looks like a solid design. I like the blade shape and large handle, though I don't like the price. Being that it's from Ontario, a 1095 version at half that price would be a nice option and one that I might buy. Don't want to come down too hard on the knife, but at almost $200 I could get an excellent custom form one of the many awesome makers we have here on BF. Just sayin'

Looks pretty good actually. Traditional shape, nice thin flat grind, and a proven steel. Handle looks a bit blocky though.

+1

I think a photograph (or perhaps 2) with a short list of specs and features could have saved me a LOT of time.

Certainly nothing innovative, but very functional. Different for Ontario though.

154CM is an excellent choice for a stainless, although I'm surprised they didn't go with a carbon steel. I thought that Ontario only did carbon steels.

I missed the price, did he say that on the video ?

Very nice. Love the Kephart blade shape, and the handle looks nice. 154CM wouldn't be my first choice, but it's ok, and the design is great.
So...what is the backpack on the table?

Nice blade...Too much $$ though IMO.

Id rather have my Gunny. Or a nice custom.

Pauls a great guy, and I hope he has success with it.

not to impressed, more of a trendy "bushcraft" style than "survival" knife. be great for light duties but the thin stock and steel arent exactly heavy use, especially if your going to give it that survival knife title. on top of that its overpriced(IMO) for that size, style and sheath choice they gave. like any product though its all about how it works so ill wait to see how people like em, chances are i still wont want one even if people tend to like them.

Looks like a pretty decent blade - anyone know what backpack that is on the table?

Ho-hum. A different approach for Ontario, but certainly nothing "Ultimate" or revolutionary. Just another minor variation on a very old theme.

Don't knock 154CM. If done right it can handle what ever you dish out. There are tougher steels available but 154CM is not a slacker.

Just a up dated Kephart, but with the Elk antler scales :D.

But give me great old 0-1 steel over that other stuff.
There is couple of custom makers that could make them
for a lot less on this forum than that price of ontarios.

You mirrored my thoughts exactly, or any of a number of production knives.

Nice Kephart type design, extremely long winded intro for a basic copy of a standard. However, I hope he does well with.
