I wanted to just cut it off but I think that would make it harder for me to sew

Good luck today Psyop! I sure hope you heal up nicely and can get back to the leather work.

I wrecked my dirt bike last summer going pretty damn fast and broke 2 fingers very bad. The skin and stuff was in place but my fingers bones weren't connected to the knuckles inside. I kept trying to put them back in place because I though they were dislocated. I broke 2 ribs also but they were not that painful compared to my hand.

Its been 15 months and it still bothers me every day. But I can finally open and close my hand completely. I can do leather work again but when I stitch a sheath my hand swells up and throbs for a couple days. I am hopeful that will go away eventually.

I hope you recover fast. Enjoy the pain meds. :D

Performing some abductions on Nautiluslive right now.

Snark was pretty dead but it appears to have been revived with a new sense of humor.....must be the heat.

the area F*CKTON of baby rabbit in my office park. i am sore tempted to catch them, and relocate to my home state (as we are lacking), except federal fines, state fines, and those rabbit surely have parasites and disease from lawn care products...

Pssstt, Bladeetay......you want rabbits? Some clean, unmarked NH rabbits, hmmm? I know a guy......

Seriously, they're to the point that if I was a shade more athletic and possibly 2 decades younger I could catch them in my hands. Went out to shoot my bow this evening, there was one sitting a foot in front of the target, and another one snuggle up against my 20 yd. shooting platform. That one took off when I got within about 6 ft. him - the other one was coming toward me while I was shooting, and as I skirted around it to go pull arrows, I was even closer.....before it took off.

Then, this happened:

Gonna bandage it and go sleep it off.

Out of surgery, got a forearm cast that covers all but index finger and thumb. Doing well based on his posts over in the Cove.

Found an add on armslist from 45 days ago for a blued 4 5/8ths Ruger Vaquero .45 convertible LNIB for $500. I emailed the guy to see if it's still for sale though I expect not.

Ouch! How old was this string?

Got the bow in January, IIRC....but I've been shooting a few times a week since then, some weeks almost every day. It broke at the peep sight, where the string divides. Been watching it and figuring I would be replacing the string soon, anyway, but....yeah. I've been working on the bow myself a little, lately, and was afraid that it was something I'd done, but there was visible string wear and a little "flyaway" at the peep for a month or so, now. Hurt like hell, but I reckon it coulda been a shit ton worse - like having that thing hit me in the eye.

My shop is down for a few days and its der-ty.... so ima clean it today... I have a few sheaths that I will be posting in the kabar forum for gaws real soon!

Ouch.....

So, about the rabbits.... You're sitting there with a bow...... I know a guy that might have some good recipes.

Rabbit is good meat. People raise them for food.

And Rabbits get shot around here. They tear up gardens. We don't go looking for them but if they on our land.... They might not make it off.

I built my garden in raised bed so i had less issues but they did a number on a bunch of Curts plants... He got a few with his bow.

You can shoot them year round here. I wish the same could be said for squirrels. There are millions here. They'll take corn quick! Bastards.

Ours isn't raised enough, but a little fence worked wonders for keeping them out. I know "back home," our little fence wouldn't have made a difference, but I think these city rabbits here are a softer sort.

Yea they can get through the field fence used around here no problem. Need some chicken wire to keep em out if using fence.

I made my raised bed 2 foot high. It definitely helped with the rabbits. But i still had birds eating up my tomatoes... Which didn't bother me too much because i grew way more tomatoes than i needed to. But i only grew a few stalks of corn... Mostly just because i had never grown corn and had some seeds... But squirrels got all but 2 cobbs.

Still have some peppers producing well... From March. We been jarring them up with vinegar making pepper sauce and cooking them with squash and zucchini.

Nobody ate any of the Habernero... They are wrinkling up... I had planned to buy a dehydrator and make seasonings but never got to it.

I really want a Magnum Research BFR, even thought they are ridiculous. I think that might be part of the appeal for me.
