Kids back in school but the creek is flooded so bad i can't hike to my normal spots or park the truck where i normally park.

The shallow area in the front is the higher ground where i normally park. Past the first group of trees is the creek.

I thought about taking the little bass boat or a kayak... But every time it's this flooded i don't catch crap anyways. Fish are spread out everywhere and eating plenty of bugs.

It got all used. I know it ain't a Becker, but I have to say... it's my favorite ESEE by far.

Got around to cleaning the milsurps I just got earlier in the week. It's pretty common to find troop tags under the butt plates of Swiss rifles so I checked mine, sure enough there was one. The guy that was issued my rifle was born in 1906!

The Esee 6 was my favorite out of the bunch as well.
I really like their 4 too. But I like the BK16 better...:D

As some of you know, Amanda and I have been looking a buying some land and start a homestead. We got some good news on a plot of land with the chance to buy more. Some of her family inherited about 1000 acres and are giving us a great deal on 10 acres with a remaining 290 acres owned by her family. We know this land well since we hunt and explore it frequently.

Our goal is to buy the land and live in a Yurt while we build an off the grid cabin. It will be a big step but Amanda and I are extremely motivated.

Mine too. The only one with enough handle, but not a prybar.
Oh, and I do like the Izzys quite a bit.

Moved into my dorm yesterday, and start class on Monday, kind of nervous. Met my room mate today, he's from Saudia Arabia

Enjoy college spike. You'll have some amazing stories to tell.

And just remember, most everyone else is probably nervous as well.
