Underrated Bucks

I have a couple from about 2005 that I still frequently carry.
A 179 and the smaller 174. They are a Buck/Mayo collaboration and were
Made in China. Both are frame lockers and easy one hand open/close.
The clip works real easy.
And are the only knives I have with a 2005 T laying on the left side as an offshore designation Versus the Idaho as US made knives.
They are great knives and never got a lot of attention.

The Bucklite Max series is a really underrated bushcraft/camp knife. Unlike the popular Moras, it is a full-tang knife. Buck “updated” the grip design on the current models, but I like the older style better:

Also the Crosslock is very under appreciated as a bushcraft folder. The aluminum grip can be hard on your hands, but it’s a workhorse on the trail. Here’s mine comparing the big-ass Crosslock saw to a Vic Farmer:

I like the older Bucklite max series as well.
I've gifted a few bought on web special from Buck.

Better money clip than the new Budgie? These are the lightest USA made folders. They are 1/4 to 5/16 thick and would make a perfect money clip. I think they run 25 bucks and I've found a few still in stock online.
