Underrated Knives

Boker Action 2- Nice ergos and the AUS8 steel has a nice heat treat on it.

Kershaw Storm- I think this is one of the most underrated knives on the planet. Nice job Mr Onion!

1. Spyderco Military.:p

2. +1 on the Spyderco D'Allara.

3. I'll throw in a good word for Entrek. They don't get too much press and make a solid product.

I like the Benchmade Nigara, it was written up well once or twice and I tired to post about it a while back to, but ti doesn't seem to pick up anyone else interest.

The Lone Wolf Longhorn. I won mine in a giveaway. It's a Great Knife. I carry it often. Thanks again Rick!

+ 1 on the Lahar. I got the last one KP had in stock this Spring. Fantastic knife....sharp knife. It's bit me a couple of times lightly.

All of my CS knives... can't blame people for hating Lynn Thomson for being so obnoxious and claiming that his knives are better than anyone elses (which they arent). However, I've never had any problems with his knives and always liked them. They can take a hell of a beating and they don't kill your wallet. Also, I always did get a kick out of his videos hahaha

Spyderco PPT. Its such and awesome folder. Rock solid lock up, handle melts into your hand, smooth opening, and classy all in one!

Spyderco Chicago.

Great 2" flat ground blade that is legal most everywhere (at least where locking knives are allowed), G-10 scales, solid linerlock, easy one hand opening spyderhole, low riding/discreet wire pocket clip, and the best ergonomics I have handled on such a small knife!

I think the A.G. Russell titanium framelock spearpoint and Italian tactical both get too little mention. Very nice knives with decent steel and all titanium handles with a very fair price.

the new hogue ex-01's and kabar phatbobs... i rarely see these 2 mentioned and they are outstanding knives.

The whole Spyderco Slipit line. Legal almost anywhere, with high quality materials, many designs to choose from, and smooth one hand opening on a very safe slipjoint. I bought a Foilage green G-10 UKPK before I came to England for my latest assignment, and have since picked up a Spyderco Squeak and have a Spyderco Bob Terzuola on order.

The original purchase was just so I could have a UK legal EDC carry, but after carrying one for 6 months, I have come to realize that I don't need a lock on a knife for EDC tasks, and in fact most of the times locks just get in the way (with the possible exception of the axis lock, it is only a hair slower to close). Yet, I still get the easy opening and more safety than a standard traditional. It really is a perfect blend of modern design with traditional class.

And if I do run into a situation where I need a heavier duty knife, I just bring my Izula and a good explanation for why I need to carry it for the task.

(I do still like locking knives, but these really opened my eyes to a much wider world of knives).

Kershaw Cyclone - wish they hadn't discontinued that one! It's one of my all-time favorites from Kershaw.

CRKT Kommer Full Throttle - nice little pocket knife that's solid and won't freak people out when you use it!

Here in Germany/Austria the Glock Feldmesser is called to be garbage. In my oppinion a prybar which can also cut, if you want. A perfect knife for heavy duty jobs and building lot jobs. I own a couple. They never made let me down, especially for the work for which it´s made. One of my favs.

Kind regards
