Well the little giant arrived and had it fork lifted into my pickup truck this past Friday. The question I was asked most was How the Heck are you going to get it off the truck and into your garage? So I figure a photo documentation would be helpful to those who couldn't be there.

If I out grow my garage shop and have to move I will pull it up the ramps with a rope over the cab of my truck with my wife's pick up truck.

Dave,
Congratulations on getting an outstanding hammer. Just so you know your hammer is also featured in the August 2010 Blade Magazine on page 44. Sid is standing next to it holding his grandson Sam. I also witnessed it being rebuilt and can tell you of the quality and time Sid puts into these hammers. One thing that really stands out on this hammer is the steel on steel clutch.

Happy pounding.

Funny you should ask Phil.:)
I am going to build a lift mechanism to get it off the pallet.(a engine hoist might reach?)
Then a engine hoist to move it to the location where I will put in a footing for it.
My son will do the footing for it, he is getting plenty of experience in a Alaska doing it in rock this summer.
I also have to run 220v over to the hammer plus other logistics I have to work out.

Great looking Hammer Dave !!

I'll bet you can't wait to put her to work.

Now you have to decide what to do first. If you're anything like me, you already have a notebook full of projects waiting for this hammer.

Can't wait to see what you come up with

Congratulations on a beautiful LG :)

The Electrician was over the house tonight getting ready to run some new 220v for the hammer and other projects.
He also said "one of these days 200amp service will be helpful". I have to unplug and plug in items in the shop because the service is already over loaded at times.

I used a cherry picker engine hoist to get mine off of the pallet... use lift straps to lift it up and off... no problems:thumbup:

Dave, that's a Very Pretty Little Green Hammer.

Sid and Dave are delivering a New, Big, Little Giant here Monday :D

Breaker and wire is all set.
I Just moved it in to position to see if that is where I am going to pour a footing.
Are you getting a 100lb LG, Don?
Thanks for the comments Guy's.
Soon I will have to start learning to use the LG correctly.

Yeah we'll have another unloading thread next week. I plan on documenting this one. This delivery of Don's hammer has been a couple of years in the making.
