Unofficial CRK Collectors Club

My first was a small 'Solar Wind' which I got back in '02 from my girlfriend at the time. Then in '04 she got me a large Maple Burl annual edition. Why on earth did I break up with this girl? :)

Last year I bought a plain large classic and currently have a large micarta inlay on order.

My first was a small regular BG-42. Since then I added 2 small CBBs and a small micarta. I'm gonna get me an Ivory Mnandi one of these days.:D

My first was a Large Regular Left-Handed Plain Jane Sebenza. I have since acquired two LG Lisa’s Picks, a small left-handed moon song and a Curly Maple Mnandi.:p

My first was a small Seb ' , since then I have gathered 2 Umfaan, 2 Mnandi ,
18 other Sebs to add toi the first one , mix of small and large. Pride of the collection is an Isle of Man Gold coin. Also have 4 fixed blades , 2 of SA manafacture .
I have sold off other stuff to fund my addiction to CRK .

large sebenza s30v
NICA large sebenza
sebenza P62
small P sebenza
small sebenza bg42

I was involved in the Sebenza micarta pass-around recently. I liked the knife so much I just bought one from Plaza cutlery. By the way they are great people to deal with.

A snakewood Mnandi which I got last week.
My next one will be a small regular Sebenza.

My first was a small left handed classic sebenza S30V. I also have a NICA tanto 1 of 200 and a large regular with a swedge grind. Both are lefties. My next two will be a large classic lefty with micarta inlays and a lefty mnandi with buffalo horn inlays.

I bought my first CRK about a year ago. I don't know what it's called or even if it has a name, but it was apparently made in the 1980's in South Africa. It's a big, one piece knife that's made entirely from steel. Total length is about 27", and the blade is 18" long. It came in a black leather pouch type sheath. Since then, I've accumulated several other CRK knives, but the big one was my first.

My first CRK was a plain small classic Sebenza. I still have it.

At the moment, I have two small Sebenzas (both classic), four large Sebenzas (one classic, three regular), two Mnandis, one Umfaan, a Mountaineer II and a Shadow IV.

I'd like to get another Mnandi, or two, and another small classic wood inlay Sebenza.

I'm afraid we need to see a picture of the big fella!

I was always interested in swiss army knives and received my first SAK many years ago. I started carrying it but realized it was too big and that I didn't need all those implements. I started researching single bladed folders on the net and found equipped.org. Doug at equipped.org wrote about the sebenza. I searched the sebenza and found bladeforums. Read bladeforums everyday for about 3 months, with my desire for the sebenza growing each day. I bought a Spyderco Delica as my first real knife because a poor college student spending 300 dollars on his first knife is a bit much. Actually spending 300 dollars on anything was ludacris for me, but I knew I had to have this knife. June of '99 I found a used small regular sebenza for $200 bucks and bit the bullet. I waited 3 or 4 days for the knife to arrive and was barely able to sleep during that time because I was so excited. My expectations for the knife was sky high because of all the "hype" I had read on the forums. The knife surely did not disappoint. It's been my EDC since and it is priceless to me.

An interesting note about the history of the knife. I bought it from a forum member named CJ who I believe later become a knife maker. CJ was friends with Kit Carson and I was chatting with Kit one day and just by luck found out that CJ and him were friends and it was determined that my sebenza had been through Kit's shop and had his bead blast on it (which is finer than the CRK bead blast).

My first was a small classic snakewood sebenza. I have since added:

- a large plain classic
- a small stars and strips
- a bark ivory Mnandi
- a Mountaineer I

I would love to add a umfaan some day.

I became a Sebenzaholic summer of 2003. I found this great little shop in Altamonte Springs, FL, Knivesalot. Steve, the owner, turned me onto the Sebenza. I was looking for the best knife for the money he knew of, and that was it. I saved for 2 weeks and then came by one day to get me a small regluar seb.

I wish I still had it. I've bought, sold, and traded many CRK pieces over the past few years. But I currently have a small and large classic plain, a small micarta classic, and a Mountaineer I. And when I get an itch for another one I'll grab it. The large classic is my newest and I love it!

1'st was a large Sebenza P# when the distributing ? had something to with BlackJack.Then a regular Sebbie with BG42 blade,a small woodie classic,and a Mnandi.

2 large wood classics
1 small wood classic
1 mayo'd small classic
1 umfaan
1 numbered 1st run Mnandi
1 Project 1 no serrations
1 sable IV

:)

i LOVE these things!!

Hey guys! Haven't visited in a while :)

I've been collecting Sebenza's since back in 1999 (the Sebenzanista days). I was a poor college kid back then so I wasn't able to get any except for 1. Then I gave that to my order brother and got me a 2000 special edition California Buckeye Wood in Large.

Over the past few years, I've gotten another one here and there and still carry a new Large 2005 Snakewood Sebbie. I've loved Sebenza's since the beginning and I still think they are time-classic knives that I always hope to own.

I collect more Microtech Autos then CRK these days, but I always like putting new Sebbies in the collection. Here's a quick pick of my favorite few. Not all of them together, but it's not like I have 50 like StJames :P

Yes, we NEED to see a picture of the bad boy CRK!!

OK... Here are a couple of photos. Not the best, but it's an old camera. I included a tape measure to try to provide some perspective.
