I use the tip of a sharp knife to cutt a cross hatch pattern in guitar picks so I dont drop them. It creates a grip better than any currently available. I have used my knives as a screw driver, prybar, surgical tool for serious splinters and one epic ingrown toenail (nearly peed on myself that hurt so bad) as well as numerous other incredibly stupid things that I wont even admit to. Sure there were better tools for the job. But Im a crocodile dundee fan at heart.
first on topic: carved an ingrown toenail out as well... and yeah it hurt
second off topic: heat up the head of an old pair of metal pliers then squeeze the guitar clip with them and throw it in a glass of water. great way for thick grip ridges imo
