  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Up and coming knife makers?

Ron Newton
Thank you for the kind words. While I make
steel in the shop, you make promises on the
internet! I will be at the Blade Show West
and I will try to win Best Damascus, but...
the comp.is stiff! So who can really say?

Thanks for your kind words also Jerry.

Hopefully me!
However I'll have to vote for Vince Evans . Ya I know he's been making knives forever but man has he taken off in the last two years.
I just have one question though .How do you know if your up and comming or if your already there ? What is the gage in which to make this kind of judgement? Is it a respect thing ,a money thing or a measure of clout thing that one would attain which is the measure used in deciding his/her status as a knifemaker ? Well ok three questions .

Tim that is one stunning knife. Ron thanks for posting it.

Just the blade on that knife took three weeks to forge. The stack up of steel weighed 80lbs. The pics. are hand stacked, No EDM!
(example: the two bladesmiths have over 300
