Upcoming Canvas Micarta M4 Shaman

I did it. Honestly glad to have it, even though I need to sell some stuff now. I have EIGHT PM2s so I figure I can let one go and use the M4 Shaman... it has a similar profile to the Sage and such, and I just like the idea of that tip being a bit more stout, so I think this is worth it.

I said I wasn't going to do it and was relying on it selling out, like the Dodo DIDN'T either. Come on Spyderco fans, where's the time when the measure of a knife is the seconds it takes to get sold out? 😂

Yeah, in all seriousness I am very happy that the knives are available, that the exclusive stayed on for many days... the whole "rush for the knife" thing is a huge turnoff. I'm mainly just shocked by the pricetag, I feel like I'm buying a knife from BentoBox. It'll be worth it though, this will be my one and only Shaman.
 
This will be my first Shaman… for as much as I like the Native 5s, likely won’t be my last. But the current price tags are getting harder to swallow.
Wish the CruWear version will come back.

The drama of the Cruwear Shaman brought me to this forum from Spydercos, Seems folks here are more realistic about getting in on Sprints/Exclusives!
 
People on the factory forum think they should get special treatment just for being on the factory forum, such as first crack at everything that comes out.

Thanks! I like both. I still love the PM2 and have several I rotate through. I view the Shaman more as a beefed up PM2, rather than a big Native. I believe the Chief captures that spirit better.

There is something oddly satisfying about feeling that backlock on the Chief clunk in to place for sure.
 
Just got mine delivered!! The action is STIFF out of the box!! Will need to disassemble, clean, lube, and work it a million cycles to smooth it out 🤪
 
Well I got mine today and honestly I’m a little disappointed. Blade centering is off. Action is stiff!! Went to adjust the pivot and the show side screw was barley in there. Decided then to take it apart clean and lube. Blade centering is still off and action seems very gritty. I’m puzzled because I got the DLT pm2 in cruwear that just dropped and it was literally perfect!
