Updated RAM?

I take it to mean something like the speed bumps compared to the spec bumps. But please, keep the current RAMs around (unless you plan on UPgrading those later), they're the leading EDCs in that very important price range in the entire industry.

At any rate, thanks a ton for the heads up, I'll go ahead and buy another RAM.

I have this figured out, but will refrain from posting the correct answer. I wanna see J strike out!

:D

This doesnt count as a strike, thinking out loud here... :D

Updated - could mean a new design, change in color, etc...

Down graded - could mean a change in materials, blade finish, re-sizing...

Check swings count! :D

Question is will GG punch you out on this one?

Pinch Hitter here

Downgraded... Ummm... not made in USA maybe?
Updated...price drop?

hmmmm updated is is obvious
down graded. Two words, not one. Down graded as in lower grade. Grade as in slope as in angle.

So maybe a different steel, and a thinner grind?

i wondered about that. good for price points. and i'd be sure to pick up a bunch. would become a sweet user/modder. but i would still love a super small sprint run with the new lock, grey anodized ti handle with micarta scales and a composite SG2 or ZDP blade. should I speak with gavin on the possibility? or do i need to strike it rich and commission them all myself? :D

We're considering manufacturing the next gen RAM over to China. New lock placement, 8CR steel, price drop.

I completely understand why this makes sense, but I'm bummed that it's going to China nonetheless. One of the things I love about Kershaw knives is that more often than not you guys manage to offer knives that are made in the USA but the prices are just about on par with Chinese knives ($30 -$55 street price). However, the knives that enthusiast like are rarely the ones that pay the bills.

No matter what happens though, I am excited to see this new RAM knife!! However, my own insignificant opinion would be to make it in the USA and offer some new frame colors other than black.
