An update for those out of the loop.
BF members took it upon themselves to right 2 wrongs and the following happened.

Bluey's donor horranek
Expired membership was renewed to Gold because that is what he wanted.
He let it be known that he really has enough Delicas.

Mr.Brownshoe's donor MMAR
Will be getting a NIB Delica from BladeHQ.


Thank you Boru13. The question I ask has resolved itself.
BF members fixed it.
 
uxo2 Contacted me via email and filled me in about the donations and kindness being spread around by people here .
I tried explaining that when I originally donated Bluey to keep the excellent thread alive I didnt once consider ever getting him back , he was going on his world adventure never to return .
For that reason and also the fact that I own an to many Delica's already ( I hope my wife isnt monitoring my internet ) sending me a replacement knife purchased with donated funds would be both overkill and unnecessary .
Now uxo2 is very determined and he was back to me in a flash suggesting maybe a membership renewal .

To make things easier to explain the following has been copied and pasted from my reply to him in one of our email conversations .

"Its interesting that you mention the membership .
It just expired a few days ago and I haven't renewed it .
I must admit that my enthusiasm for the forum as faded a bit , and maybe the Bluey thing has played a small part in that .
I would appreciate a donated membership of any kind , it doesn't have to be gold .
If it happens It happens if it doesn't it doesn't .
Either way I honoured that other people have thought of me and put their hands in their pockets , that is very humbling .

I really don't think that is needed right now.
A third Delica is actively visiting.

But if for whatever reason Cam goes MIA.
Hopefully it' will be USPS fault this time.

As for par taking in the thread. Ask MMAR.
 
Fellow BF brethren (and a few sisters I am sure too!). . .

This thread really outlined some of the worst types of folks out there (thieves), but more importantly, even of paramount importance is that it boldly highlighted the BEST type of folks out there. Those who are kind, generous, and give of their own to remunerate a brother who lost out. I know they are just knives. Some may even call them toys. But it's not the act of replacing a knife for someone, its the symbol of what it actually stands for: truth, justice, kindness, humility, and charity--the best of what anyone can offer.

So, thanks to all who have supported the efforts either monetarily or figuratively!

Not looking to participate, I have handled a delica, and I know it fits my hand well enough to not want to use one. For to use one, is to want to buy one.

For now I am safe from that particular strain of knife.

Update:

DevDev98 made good and shipped Bluey back to me and I now have him in my possession. I am in contact with the owner to make a plan for Bluey’s next move.

In addition, there were several kind members who put their money together to purchase a replacement Delica for the stolen Mr. Brownstone. I am happy to report that I received the new Delica yesterday and am very, very grateful for the generosity of those members as well as the community at large.
