USN release

Facebook is a garbage company so I won't support them in any way. They have made the internet a much worse place, especially since they hide their search results from the open web.

What do you mean hiding search results from the open web? If you mean individual profile information, that’s personal preference. I have my account set up to be 100% private, and I specify not to be searchable on the web. Is that what you mean?

I hate to break it to some of you, but if you are on the internet at all, there is a profile of you and your habits are tracked. Basically all web based companies and ISPs do this. Simply avoiding Facebook and it's subsidiaries does not keep your data "safe".

If y'all don't want to get on Facebook more power to you. But you ARE missing out on cool stuff *shrugs*.

Now that’s a good looking Zaan! Do you have to be a member at USN to get one of these or how does it work?

They are to be sold at the annual USN meet up "The Gathering". Not sure if you need to provide forum credentials to purchase/get into the event.

The gathering is going to be happening in 15 days and 23 hrs from now. Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is 4 miles from my house. I went two years ago and it is a not to be missed event if you have a chance. Info is at usngathering. $25 for the weekend is easy money.

I will definately be checking out these Zaans

Shoot! These and the PDW Lg 21's how in holy heck am I supposed to decide. And no I wont have funds for both.
I wonder if there will be any other distinctions/markings delineating it as USN?
Thanks for all the pics. These look dang good.
Cheers

Nice to see so much exciting stuff coming out of the CRK factory!

I asked for a DLC Zaan in an ancient wish-list I posted here. With that wish coming true, maybe a Large Mnandi is in the near future!!

In regards to Facebook, there is something specially evil about that web-place that just makes my skin crawl, so I agree very much with those here that dislike it. I was a late adopter (joined FB in 2014), and early leaver (deleted all my stuff and deactivated in 2017), and can’t imagine ever being part of it again. It’s not that I care about the data tracking, or profile mining, I just find Facebook brings out the very worst of humanity, and I am glad for “native” experiences like Bladeforums that are not FB based.

I only wish Bladeforums would up their image-sharing game. That’s why this place is losing ground to Facebook knife clubs. I’d consider a paid membership again if I could easily share nice photos of a decent size and resolution, without linking to an off-site service. That’s really my only gripe about this place. Still so glad BF carries on in spite of the popularity of competing services.

Cody,
I think BF's image sharing game is fine. If you look at post 44 where I shared the USN Zaan images, those were just "Uploaded" right to the page, with no other image sharing site.

All you do is:
- Make your post.
- Click "Upload File", then let the images upload.
- Finally (and this is the MOST IMPORTANT) Click the "Share FULL SIZE" option so the pics show full sized.

I'm not sure exactly what the max image size/resolution is, but I think the size from my post #44 is plenty big.

I think it required a paid membership, which he doesn't have.

I still have to scale down pics taken with my iPhone unless I’m doing something wrong. Nothing major, but just an extra step that prevents me from posting more photos on different threads.
