Bear, I second that.
I've already ordered two Avids (one will go to my Brother) but I'm sure I'll just have to have the Pro too. Its extremely hard for me to pass on Buck-made S30V blade & G10 scale...in fact "impossible" is more accurate.

I'm excited about this too. I want both the Vantage Pro and Avid. Can't wait until they get in stock!

Hard not to like the looks/specs/price ratio on this one. My order is in and my heart rate is up.

Anyone have a picture of both to post?As I've not received my catalog yet. These are new for 2009. Are these the ones which will have the Sandvik steels later?DM

I found both, via key-word search "vantage" and "paradigm", over at knifecenter (pics & verbage).

You get a selection of blade steels and prices. Nice to have choices.

Wow, the Vantage Pro and Vantage Avid look like some of the best deals around. You could get one of each and still not break the bank. I really like the design, we will have to see how the construction is once they show up on the street.

I expect fit and finish to be first rate just like all Bucks. I really want the two Avids I ordered to get here.....I'm very interested in trying out the 13C26.

Hello all! I usually never check the Buck forum, but today I did for some reason. I came across this thread and saw this up and coming folder from Buck. All I can say is WOW! An S30V folder for about $50?! With G10 handles too! Maybe I've spent too much time looking at expensive Benchmades and Sebenzas, because this seems like an incredible deal! The last Buck knife that I really wanted was a Buck 560 with titanium handles (which my uncle got for me one Christmas years ago.) It's been years since I saw a Buck knife that really caught my interest, but this Vantage Pro looks like a screaming deal that I won't be able to pass up! WOW, and again, hello all!

Wow. Just buy looking at it, I know it will be a fave of mine in the future.

Question: Is the blade hollow ground?
